Mode Conditioning Cables Single-mode to Multimode Fiber
Description RLH Mode Conditioning Cables are designed for long wave multimode applications of Gigabit Ethernet. They are fully compliant with IEEE 802.3z application standards. The need for this jumper cable is due to the single-mode laser into the center of a multimode fiber causing multiple signals to be generated that confuses the receiver at the other end of the fiber. These cables are the solution eliminating any Differential Mode Delay (DMD) effects by off setting the single-mode signal from the center of the multimode fiber. To order and learn more about our products contact your RLH representative or visit the RLH website.
SC/SC Mode Conditioning Cable Key Features •
IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet compliant
•
Run 1000Base-LX Gigabit Ethernet over multimode fiber by offsetting signal loss.
•
Eliminates any Differential Mode Delay (DMD)
•
Available in a variety of connector combinations
•
Uses single-mode Transceivers on Multimode Fiber Backbones
Example: RLH-MCJ-MM-STST-05M RLH Mode Condition Cable 62.5/125 multimode with ST/ST connectors 5 meters in length
