MCR 2500 HF High Build Polyurethane-Cement Hybrid Screed Product Properties          4-component, polyurethane heavy-duty floor topping for application thicknesses of 6 - 12 mm Highly mechanical and chemical resistance Hard-wearing flooring system for high chemical exposure, abrasion and heavily loaded areas Resistant to hot liquids up to +120oC (intermittent), also high pressure cleaning (min. layer thickness of 9 mm) Thermal shock resistant Anti-slip surface Matt finish offering versatility in performance, aesthetics and bacterial and fungal growth resistance Solvent-free Fast curing time to achieve ultimate properties Areas of Application      Food industry production areas, bakeries, dairies, breweries, butcheries Chemical processing areas, containment areas Heavy-duty engineering process areas, warehouses, loading bays and logistics areas Thermal shock resistance for freezer rooms, cold rooms Anti-slip finish & safety for kitchen floors and oily & slippery service conditions Application Substrate Requirement The concrete substrate must be strong and sound to support required service loads with a minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm2 and pull-off strength of 1.5 N/mm2. It must be free of all cement laitance, dust, oil, grease, slurries and any loosely adhering materials. Old coatings should also be totally removed. If not, extensive tests to determine compatibility and adhesion are necessary. If the substrate moisture content is >4%, it may not be suitable to receive impermeable coatings as this may lead to osmosis blistering effects. Therefore, a substrate treatment system will be necessary. Check with our Technical Department for further information. For more information about substrate requirement, please see leaflets “General Application Advice”: “Industrial Flooring – Substrate and Substrate Preparation” and “Reactive Resins”. For use on moist mineral substrates please check with our Technical Department. Substrate Preparation – New Concrete Surface Concrete substrates should be prepared by mechanical means e.g. dust-free shot-blasting, or mechanical removal method e.g. scarifying process. Once the substrate preparation work has been completed, the floor must be cleaned of all dust and loose particles using a high-powered industrial vacuum cleaner. High spots and site forming day joints must be ground smooth using a hand-held grinder. Priming (temperature loading ≤50ºC) MCR Prime WB, see technical data sheet “MCR Prime WB”. Scratch Coat priming Using MCR 2500 MF as a scratch coat onto the substrate will help to level surface unevenness while contributing to the desired final system thickness. The mixture of MCR 2500 MF must be pressed trowelled over the prepared substrate ensuring the floor is fully covered with the material. The scratch coat must be strewn with oven-dried quartz sand (0.2-0.6mm). Mixing MCR 2500 HF consists of 4-components : Component A (resin), component B (hardener), component C (pigment) and component D (aggregate), supplied in pre-packed quantities. Before mixing, shake components A & B briefly for at least 10 seconds. Pour component A into a clean mixing drum and slowly add component B to the drum and mix for 15 - 20 seconds until a uniform consistency is achieved using a slow speed electric mixer. Add component C slowly followed by component D and further mix for 1 minute to achieve a fully homogeneous consistent mortar mixture using a forced action mixer with double paddles. Surface defects such as blow holes, voids and surface cracks can be repaired using the MC-DUR 1200 VK M flooring repair system or other MC-approved repair materials. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Marketed by : MC Bauchemie (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (386385-M) Lot S113, 2nd Floor, Centrepoint, No.3 Lebuh Bandar Utama, Bandar Utama, 47800 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia Tel: +603 7728 1233 Fax: +603 7728 6833 Email : [email protected] Application (cont.) Anchoring Grooves In order to prevent the outer edges of the coating from curling, anchoring grooves (width and depth are twice the system layer thickness) must be cut into the substrate by diamond cutter, 40 mm away from and parallel to all walls and edges, including columns, doorways, day joints, and drainage areas. Application MCR 2500 HF is ready to use. Poured the mixed MCR 2500 HF onto the prepared substrate and spread with a trowel or rake or preferably a screed box to the desired thickness (between 6 mm – 12 mm). Continue to compact and level the surface by using a flat steel trowel. The fresh coating is then lightly back-rolled with a short nap roller dipped in xylene. (This process is to bring the resin up to the screed surface to ensure the pores are fully sealed.) (Depending on period of exposure to spillages, discolouration may occur without affecting the mechanical properties of the flooring. It is recommended good practice to clean off all spillages as soon as they occur.) For resistance to other chemicals, please consult our Technical Department. Application (cont.) General Information Coverage, application time, resistance to foot traffic and time until full resistance is determined by temperature and object properties and conditions. See also leaflet “General Application Advice-Reactive Resins”. Concerning the batch colour consistency, please note the general information on the leaflet “General Application Advice – Reactive Resins”. Cleaning Clean all tools with solvent-free cleaning agents immediately after use. Hardened cured materials can only be mechanically removed. Maintenance To ensure that your MC-Flooring System stays in the best appearance and performance, the correct cleaning and maintenance schedule should be used. For more information about this, please consult our Technical Department. Exposure to chemicals and UV-light may cause colour changes which usually do not affect the properties and usability of the coating. Mechanically and chemically exposed surfaces are subject to wear and tear. Regular check-ups and continuous maintenance are advised. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Marketed by : MC Bauchemie (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (386385-M) Lot S113, 2nd Floor, Centrepoint, No.3 Lebuh Bandar Utama, Bandar Utama, 47800 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia Tel: +603 7728 1233 Fax: +603 7728 6833 Email : [email protected] Technical Data for MCR 2500 HF Characteristics Unit Value Finishing Comments anti-slip & seamless matt Mixing Ratio p.b.w.
