Try to be near the breast but do not touch the bone. • For meat loafs and other recipes with ground meat, insert the probe into the thickest area. • When cooking thin items, insert the probe sideways. This works for chops, thin steaks, single chicken breasts, and hamburgers. • For casseroles and egg dishes, insert the probe into the thickest part. 4) Once the probe is inserted, it will begin to register temperature. 5) This guide shows the FDA’s recommended temperature for safe consumption. For a more detailed guide please visit Kuissential.com. REHEATING FOOD: When reheating food, use the temperature of 1650F SERVING FOOD: When serving food or holding it for a prolonged time, such as a buffet table, keep hot food over 1400F or higher and cold food under 400F or lower. 6) After use, use an oven mitt to remove the probe. Once removed, clean the probe thoroughly with hot and soapy water. TIP: When cooking a beef roast, you can remove the roast 5-100F before the desired doneness is reached. Allow the roast to stand 15-30 minutes and the heat inside will continue to cook the roast until it reaches the desired temperature.
