More Publishing Options My Mediasite Channels Quickly create and share collections of video content uploaded to My Mediasite or recorded with My Mediasite’s Desktop Recorder. Vodcasts and YouTube™ / iTunes® U Publishing With My Mediasite, publish to YouTube™ and iTunes® U without sacrificing the engaging experience of content that has dual-video or video and slides. By generating a composite MP4 that includes all elements of your recording, users see everything originally captured. “Copy To” Function Easily clone a piece of content, including all media and metadata, to another folder. Copied content inherits the permissions and ownership of its destination while your original content stays intact. When paired with Mediasite’s review-edit-approve workflow, “copy to” enables controlled submission of student assignments or other user-generated content. Custom Publishing Permissions A simplified security model allows different permissions to be applied to video published to different destinations. For example, the original permissions on a course video published to an LMS will remain unaffected if the same content is published to another destination for public viewing. Publishing Terms & Conditions Associate terms and conditions to a public catalog, custom catalog or Showcase channel which requires content creators to accept the terms before publishing. Mediasite tracks all terms and conditions acceptances. Playback and Viewer Engagement Mediasite MultiView Mediasite’s unique MultiView Player simultaneously streams up to four sources (three HD videos up to 1080p, plus content). It’s ideal for multi-camera-shoots, simulation labs or multi-projector rooms as well as popular dual-stream uses like screencasts with video. Push Live Polls During live broadcasts, presenters have the option of pushing polls to viewers when they wish. At the end of a broadcast, viewers can also be alerted to take a survey, watch another video or visit a website. Redesigned Ask a Question A new side-by-side layout for incoming and accepted questions simplifies live webcast Q&A. Incoming questions can also be grouped into moderator-defined categories. Watermarking Using Mediasite Editor, upload an image to watermark your video during playback. Trusted Plugin Playback With Google® Chrome™ starting to block some plugins, the Mediasite Player guarantees successful viewing by using Flash (a Chrome-trusted plugin) to play back Smooth Streaming content.

Content Storage and Management Tools Quota Management Content quota policies based on video size (amount of storage used) can be applied to user profiles. Once applied, all video placed in a user’s folder is subject to quota enforcement. The user receives notifications when a quota threshold is reached, quota is exceeded or the total content size / storage returns to a level under quota. Exceeding quota prevents the user from creating or uploading video to his/her folder. Video Encoding Control To effectively manage storage and bandwidth consumption, system administrators can set video quality and maximum encoding settings for user-uploaded videos or desktop recordings. Video Size Display Mediasite Management Portal‘s content lists now include the size of each video and allows users to sort by video size. Mediasite Server Trust Relationships Setting up trust relationships between Mediasite servers lets you easily manage content between sites. Using My Mediasite or Mediasite Management Portal, authorized users can copy and move individual videos to other trusted Mediasite servers. Automated export/import jobs can also be created through the Management Portal to automatically copy or move folders of content between servers. Ownership Auditing Listing of all ownership changes made to any video.
Updated Mediasite Mobile App
Mediasite Mobile App lets you watch live and on-demand, browse Showcases and catalogs and search inside videos. New in Mobile App 2.1: � Upload video with My Mediasite (accessed through the mobile Mediasite Showcase) � Watch in portrait mode � Watch on iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
Powerful Analytics
Mediasite Dashboards Now all the viewership and performance data you care about is front and center with at-a-glance dashboards for every video. Content creators and administrators immediately see into viewer behaviors and content’s impact while customizable reports still let you drill down for user- and video-specific data. Scheduling Status Reports Automatically receive a nightly email of this optional system update indicating which videos successfully recorded (or failed) based on the day’s schedules. The report also includes transcoding success/failure data.

Updated Mediasite Desktop Recorder screen selector makes it easier to define screen recording regions. Enhanced Recorder Control Center includes the return of carousel view for monitoring multiple simultaneous recordings.
