Please read these operating instructions carefully before you operate this unit. 2. Do not use this television near water. 3. Clean with a dry cloth only, to clean up dust, water drops or smudges from the screen or cabinet. Also make sure you disconnect the TV when you are cleaning the unit. 4. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the power point and the TV power Input. 7. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. 8. Unplug this television during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. 9. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the television has been damaged in any way, such as the power-supply cord or plug has been damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the television, the television has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. 10. The television should not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on the television. 11. Beware, if the television is to be built into a compartment or similar enclosed space, heat build-up can occur and can reduce the service life of your television and can be dangerous. If there is a sudden change in temperature or humidity, or when warm air comes into contact with any cold parts in the unit, condensation may form. Placing the unit in a warm room to dry out any condensation, this may take 1 to 2 hours, depending on environmental conditions. Installation Notes  This TV can be connected to AC 100-240 Volts, 50/60 Hz power source. Never connect straight to a DC supply or any other power supply, then specified above.  Locate the TV in the room where light does not directly strike the screen.  Total darkness or a reflection on the picture screen can cause eyestrain. Soft and indirect lighting is recommended for comfortable viewing.  Allow enough space between the TV and the wall to permit ventilation.  Avoid excessively warm locations to prevent possible damage to the cabinet or premature component failure.  Do not cover the ventilation openings when using the TV. -3- Unpacking Please make sure that the following items are included with your LED LCD TV. If any item is missing, please contact the warranty line. LED LCD TV Operation Manual Remote Control DC Adaptor Power Cord RCA Cable RF Input Adaptor Lead Cigarette Adapter -4- TV Stand Installation The Meglio HD LED TV comes with its base stand attached. To easily disassemble the TV stand, please open the plastic stand cap as shown in the middle picture below. Then unscrew the four stand screws. Once these have been removed you can now remove the stand as shown in the last picture. To re-attach the stand please follow the attached directions in reverse. Wall Mount Bracket Installation This TV is VESA standard wall mountable. Please see above an image of the 4 VESA standard holes (100mm x 100mm). The wall mount bracket and screws are not included with your TV. However to attach your bracket use the 4 holes provided to screw your bracket to your TV. HDMI1 Input The HDMI Input allows you to connect your HDMI Cable for greater definition. In Power On Mode the indicator will turn off. In 13. Standby mode the indicator will turn white. The HDMI Input allows you to connect your HDMI 2. Remote Sensor Receives the remote signals from the remote control. 3. MENU HDMI2 Input Cable for greater definition. 14. Y Input The Y Input must be connected for a component connection. Touch MENU to enter the Main Menu. 15. 4. The Pb Input must be connected for a component CH+ Touch CH+ to scroll upwards through the channel list. 5. CH- Touch CH- to scroll downward through the channel list. 6. VOL+ Touch VOL+ to increase the volume level. 7. VOL- Touch VOL- to decrease the volume level. Note: In main Menu, touch Vol+/- to change a sub-Menu. Touch CH+/- to enter the sub-Menu and then touch it repeatedly to select the item you want to adjust or set. Touch VOL+/- to enter the particular item and then adjust or change the setting. 8. SOURCE Touch SOURCE repeatedly to select the Input source, and then touch Vol+ to confirm. 9. Power Touch POWER to turn on or turn off the TV. 10. DC Input The DC Input allows you to connect your DC 12 Volt power supply. 11. USB Input The USB Input enables you to insert your USB & play/view DivX, MPEG, MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WMV, JPEG, BMP, WMA, MP3, AC3, AAC files. Pb Input connection. 16. Pr Input The Pr Input must be connected for a component connection. 17. PC Audio IN The PC Audio Input allows you to connect your TV to your PC to use as a monitor and enable the sound for movies etc. 18. VGA Input The VGA Input allows you to connect your TV to your PC to use as a monitor or view movies. 19. DVD Disc Slot The DVD Disc Tray allows you to load your DVD Disc for playback. 20. RF IN To connect the external aerial. 21. Audio Input The AV Audio Input (Left) must be connected with the white cable for a composite connection. 22. Audio Input The AV Audio Input (Right) must be connected with the red cable for a composite connection. 23. CVBS Video Input The CVBS Input must be connected with the yellow cable in both composite & component connections. 24. Headphone Output To connect headphones for private listening. 25. Standby Button: Press the Standby Button to switch the TV on or off. 2. Numeric Buttons: Press the Numeric Buttons to select a channel or select a page or select a track number in DVD mode. 3. FAV Button: Press the FAV Button to display the Favourite Menu in DTV mode. 4. Aspect Button: Press the Aspect Button to scroll through & select the picture size. 5. 6. Picture Button: Press the Picture Button to enter the picture mode. Navigation Button: Press the Left arrow to scroll up through the Menus, or to decrease the volume level. 7. Menu Button: Press the Menu Button to view the Main Menu. 8. Intro/Green Button: Press the Green Button to play the first 10 seconds of each track in DVD mode, or to display green subject in Teletext mode or sub-Menus. 9. Red/PROG Button: Press the Red Button to enter program setting in DTV mode, display red subject in Teletext mode and sub-Menus. 10. VOL+ Button: Press the VOL+ Button to increase the volume level. 11. VOL- Button: Press the VOL- Button to decrease the volume level. 12. Teletext Button: Press the Text Button to enter the Teletext Menu. 13. DVD.M Button: Press the DVD.M to display the DVD Disc Menu. 14. Rewind Button: Press the Rewind Button to rewind play in DVD mode. 15. Skip Backwards Button: Press the Skip Backwards Button to go back to the previous chapter. 16. Yellow /REPEAT Button: Press the Yellow Button to repeat play, or to display yellow subject in Teletext or in the sub-Menu. 28. Blue/A-B Button: Press the Blue Button to repeat A-B playback or display blue subject in Teletext or in the sub-Menu. 29. Record Button: Press the Record Button to record a TV program. 30. Play/Pause Button: Press the Play/Pause Button in DVD mode to pause or play in DVD mode and Play Pause recording in or Time shift PVR mode. 39. Skip Forward Button: Press the Skip Forward Button to skip to the next chapter in DVD mode and Skip Forward recording in or Time shift PVR mode. - 10 - Remote Control Battery Installation The remote control requires two AAA batteries. Below are steps to assist you with replacing the batteries. 1. Open the back cover of the battery compartment. 2. Install the batteries into the battery tray. There is +/- polarity marking in the battery compartment. Please ensure the polarity is correct. 3. Close the battery cover. Caution: 1. Keep the batteries out of the reach of children. 2. Don’t attempt to recharge, short-circuit, disassemble, heat up or throw batteries into a fire. 3. Always replace both batteries at the same time. Never mix new and old batteries or batteries of a different type. 4. If you don’t intend to use the remote control for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent possible leakage and corrosion. Notes:  Do not drop, shake or step on the remote control.  Do not spill water on the remote control.  Aim the remote control directly at the remote sensor, for best use.  If the TV does not operate when operating the remote control from a close range, you need to replace the batteries. Installation and Connection 1. Connect the TV RF source (your external aerial - antenna /satellite TV/CATV net) to the RF IN port as shown below. You can use 75Ω coaxial cable to connect an outdoor antenna. - 11 - VHF Antenna UHF Antenna Mixer Input terminal of antenna 75ΩCo-axis cable Antenna Input 2. Ensure you connect your Right and Left audio sources (including DVD, VCR, Camcorder and PC) to the Left and Right Audio Input jacks ‘L’ and ‘R’. 3. To connect your video sources (including DVD, VCR or Camcorder) you must connect them to the Video Input via the RCA Cable. 4. YPbPr Component Video Input should be connected with the YPbPr Video Output of your DVD, VCR or Camcorder. 5. HDMI Input should be connected with the HDMI Output of your DVD, VCR or Camcorder. This TV has two HDMI Inputs. - 12 - 6. VGA Input should be connected with the VGA Output of your PC to use this TV as a monitor. There is also a PC Audio Input for your connection with PC. 7. Coaxial Output should be connected with the Coaxial Input of your audio amplifier. 8. This product has a Headphone Output to connect your headphones for your private listening. 9. Insert the power cord to the AC/DC adapter, and then connect the DC jack to the DC 12V IN socket. Notes:  After AV, YPBPR or HDMI is selected ensure the Video Output from your connected accessory (for example DVD player) is set to corresponding video mode.  CVBS and YPbPR are sharing the same Right/Left audio Input. Basic Operations 1) Touch POWER on the unit or press the STANDBY Button on the remote control to turn the TV on or off. The GRUNDIG brand logo light will be turned off when the unit has been powered on. When the unit is in Standby mode the Grundig brand will be illuminated. You can change the logo light setting in the Setup Menu. 2) If you are using the television for the first time, the Installation Guide below will be displayed to guide you through the initial channel scan. You can press Navigation Buttons to select an OSD (ON Screen Display) option i.e. language or Country. Then press the OK Button to confirm. When you have selected the options in the Installation Guide DTV Auto Tuning will then start automatically. - 13 - 3) After auto tuning, the amount of programs found and stored will be shown on the display and the first channel (channel "1") will begin to play automatically. 4) To change between Digital TV (DTV) and Analog TV (ATV), press the SOURCE Button on the remote control to select the preferred mode. 5) To change the channel in either mode, press the CH+/CH- Button or press the CH. List Button to see the Channel List. Press the UP/DOWN Navigation Buttons & OK Button find and confirm the channel you want to watch. You can press Numeric Buttons on remote to select the channel directly. To go back to the last channel you where watching you can press the PRE CH Button on the remote control. 6) To adjust the volume, press the VOL+/- to increase or decrease the sound level. 7) Press the MUTE Button to turn off the sound only and press it again to turn on the sound again. 8) Press the PICTURE Button repeatedly to cycle through the available video picture modes. Standard 9) Mild Personal Dynamic Press the SOUND Button repeatedly to cycle through the available sound - 14 - modes. Music Movie Sports Personal Standard 10) Press the INFO Button to display the information of the channel playing. Press the Up or Down arrow to scroll up through the information. Press the Right arrow to display the information of the next channel, and press the Left arrow to return to the information of the current channel. 11) To change the source input to watch a connected accessory or play a DVD or connected media, press the SOURCE Button and then press the ▲or ▼ Navigation Buttons to scroll through and select the available input sources as follows: DTV ATV HDMI2 Media HDMI1 AV DVD PC Component Teletext To view the TV Teletext Menu you must be watching or in DTV mode. The Teletext Menu will provide you with further detailed information about the program you are watching. To enter the Teletext Menu press the TELETEXT Button. Press the CH+/or Numeric Buttons to select the page you wish to view. Note: When using the Numeric Buttons the first number should not be ‘0’ or ‘9’. To exit just press the TELETEXT Button again Main Menu Operations Press the MENU Button and then the Navigation Buttons on the remote control to select the sub-Menus or the options you want to change. Then press the OK Button to confirm. Press the MENU Button when you want to return to the previous Menu, and press the EXIT Button to exit Menu setting. - 15 - Channel Menu The TV Channel Menu will allow you to change the channel setting or search for new or weak stations with access to Auto Tuning, ATV Manual Tuning, DTV Manual Tuning, Programme Edit and Signal Information. To enter the TV Channel Menu press the MENU Button and the Channel Menu will appear. Press the OK Button to enter. Press the ▲or▼ Buttons to select a below sub-Menu and then press the OK Button to confirm. To exit the Channel Menu, press the Menu Button. Auto Tuning Once Auto Tuning is selected, you will see an OSD below. Tune Type is highlighted above. Press the Navigation Buttons to select DTV, ATV or ATV+DTV tuning type & Country (Australia is the default).Then press the OK to confirm and Auto Tuning will begin automatically. During Auto Tuning you can press the MENU or EXIT Button to exit. - 16 - ATV Manual Tuning Use the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to select ATV Manual Tuning in the Channel Menu. Then press the ◄or ► Buttons to select the individual ATV channel (frequency) you wish to store. Then use the Arrow Buttons to highlight the search option and press ok, this will activate the manual tune. If the picture is not so clear you can use the Arrow Buttons to highlight the Fine-Tune option and select Fine-Tune. Notes:  You need to set the Color System and Sound System before manual tuning.  For Australia, color system is PAL, and sound system is BG. DTV Manual Tuning Use the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to select DTV Manual Tuning in the Channel Menu. Then press the ◄or ► Buttons to select the individual DTV channel you wish to store and press the OK Button to begin search. Press the Menu Button to return to previous Menu or press the EXIT Button to exit. - 17 - Programme Edit Press the ▲or▼ Buttons to select Programme Edit in the Channel Menu. Then press the OK Button to enter the sub-Menu. Then you will need to select the programme you wish to edit, press the ▲or▼ Buttons to do so. Press either the FAV, BLUE or RED Buttons to set the channel to the Favourite, Skip or Delete list respectively. Note: If you want to view the Favorite Channel List you need to exit Program Edit Menu and then press the FAV Button. Signal Information (Only for DTV) Press the ▼ / ▲ Buttons to select the Signal Information in the Channel Menu. Then press the OK Button to show the related information of the current channel. Picture Menu To enter the Picture Menu, press the MENU Button and then press the ◄ or ► Buttons to select the Picture Menu. Press the OK Button to enter. Once in the Picture Menu, press the ▲ or ▼ Buttons to select the options you wish to adjust. Press the OK Button to enter the sub-Menu. To return to the Main Menu, press the MENU Button, or press the EXIT Button to exit. - 18 - Picture Mode There are four different Picture modes: Standard, Dynamic, Mild and Personal. You are only able to set the Contrast, Brightness, Colour or Sharpness in Personal mode. To change the Picture Mode, press the OK Button to enter the submenu and then press the ▲ or ▼ Buttons to scroll through the picture modes. Press the OK Button to confirm. Contrast Press the ◄ or ► Button to adjust the contrast. Brightness Press the ◄ or ► Button to adjust the brightness. Colour Press the ◄ or ► Button to adjust the colour. Tint Press the ◄ or ► Button to adjust the tint, this option only works in VGA mode and when the VGA input is connected. Sharpness Press the ◄ or ► Button to adjust the sharpness. Colour Temperature Press the ▲ or ▼ Button to scroll through the colour temperature: Cold, normal and warm. Noise Reduction Press the ▲ or ▼ Button to scroll through the Noise Reduction options. You can set Noise Reduction to Off, Low, Middle, High, and Default. - 19 - Sound Menu To enter the Sound Menu, press the MENU Button, then press the ◄ or ► Button to select the Sound Menu and press the OK Button to enter. Once in the Sound Menu, press the ▲ or ▼ Button to select the options you wish to adjust. Press the OK Button to enter the sub-Menu. To return to the Main Menu, press the MENU Button, or press the EXIT Button to exit. Sound Mode There are four Sound modes: Standard, Music, Movie, Sports and personal. You are only able to set Treble, Bass in Personal mode. To change the Sound Mode, press the OK Button to enter the submenu and then press the ▲ or ▼ Buttons to scroll through the sounds modes. Press the OK Button to confirm. Treble Press the ◄ or ► Button to adjust the treble. Bass Press the ◄ or ► Button to adjust the bass. Balance Press the ◄ or ► Button to adjust the balance of left and right audio outputs. Auto Volume Press the ◄ or ► Button to select Auto Volume to on or off. When it’s set to on, the volume level will stay as the set Volume. SPDIF Mode Press the ▲ or ▼ Button to scroll through the options: PCM, Auto and Off. This option is for Coaxial Audio Output AD Switch (Only for DTV) AD (Audio Description) is for those person who have weak sight. Select and enter AD Switch and a pop-up Menu will appear as below. - 20 - You can now set the AD volume level to ON. Time Menu (in TV mode only) To enter the Time Menu, press the MENU button, then press the ◄ or ► button to select the Time Menu, and press the OK button to confirm. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to scroll through the options in the Time Menu. Press the OK button to enter the sub-menu. To return to the Main Menu, press the MENU button or press the EXIT button to exit. Time Zone You can set the Time Zone here. The default is New South Wales GMT +10. Sleep Timer You can set the Sleep Timer to OFF, 10mins, 20min, 30min, 60mins, 90mins, 120mins, 180mins or 240mins, press the ▲ or ▼ button to scroll through and select the available time. The TV will automatically turn to Standby when sleep time is set. - 21 - Auto Standby You can set the TV to Auto Standby if the TV is not active after 3H, 4H, 5H or you can set to OFF. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to scroll through and select the available time. OSD Timer You can set your OSD Menu to automatically turn off after 5s, 10s, 15s, 20s, 25s or 30s. Press the ▲ or ▼ Buttons to scroll through and select the available time. The OSD Menu will disappear if there is no operation for the selected amount of time. Lock Menu To enter the Lock Menu, press the MENU Button, then press the ◄ or ► Button to select the Lock Menu, and press the OK Button to enter. Press the ▲ or ▼ Buttons to scroll through the options in the Lock Menu. Press the OK Button to enter the sub-Menu. To return to the Main Menu, press the MENU Button or press the EXIT Button to exit. Lock System Select Lock System in the Lock Menu and press the Right or Left Navigation Button to set it to On or Off. You will be asked to input your password or the default password to activate this setting. The default password is “0000”. Note: The following lock options will be effective only when you set Lock System to ON. Set Password - 22 - To change the password, press the OK Button to select Set Password and a pop-up Menu will appear to enter your new password. The default password is “0000”, you will need this in order to set your new password and follow the onscreen prompts. Block Program To block a program from being watched, select Block Program and press the OK Button to enter the program list. Press the ▲ or ▼ Buttons to select the channel you want to block and then press the Green Button to block. The block icon will appear behind the blocked channel. To un-lock the channel, select the blocked channel and press the Green Button again, the lock icon will disappear. Parental Guidance Select Parental Guidance, and then press the OK Button to enter the sub-Menu to set the program rating and to block the selected rating programs. Setup Menu To enter the Setup Menu, press the MENU Button, then press the ◄ or ► Button to select the Option Menu, and press OK Button to confirm. Press the ▲ or ▼ Buttons to scroll through the options in the Setup Menu. Press the OK Button to enter the sub-Menu. To return to the Main Menu, press the MENU Button or press the EXIT Button to exit. - 23 - OSD Language Press the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to select OSD Language. Then press the OK Button to enter sub-Menu. Then use the ▼, ▲, ◄ or ► Buttons to select the language. The default language is English. Hearing Impaired (only for DTV) Press the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to select Hearing Impaired. Then press the ◄ or ► Buttons to select On or Off. When it is set to ON, there will be synchronous subtitles for the program at the bottom of the screen (if applicable), which is designed for those who have weak hearing. PVR File System (only for DTV) Press the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to select PVR File System, then press the OK Button to enter sub-Menu and then use the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to scroll through the options. Select Check PVR File System and then press the OK Button to enter. This function will check the USB speed. Select Disk If you are using a Hard Disc Drive for recording and your Hard Disc Drive has more than 2 partitions, you are able to select ONE Partition for recording. You can press - 24 - the OK Button and then the Right or Left Button to select the particular partition for recording. For example C or D partition, etc. The recording file will be saved in the partition you selected. If you are using a USB device for recording, you can only select USB for recording. Check PVR File System Here is where you are able to check your USB or Hard Disc Drive format and see if the USB or Hard Disc Drive you are using is compatible. If your USB or Hard Disc Drive is not compatible, you will see FAIL on the screen. You will then need to format the device. If it is compatible then "SUCCESS" will be displayed. Note: You will ONLY be able to perform program recording when your Hard Disc Drive or USB device is shown as compatible. Format There are two types of format: FAT32 and Hi Speed Format. Press the Right or Left Navigation Buttons to select your type of recording format. Once you select a format, you are able to press the Right or Left Buttons to select the size you wish to use (for example 1G, 2G, 3G… or all). Once a particular size is booked for recording, you will be able to use the remaining space of your Hard Disc Drive for your data storage. - 25 - Notes: No matter which size is booked for recording, all the data in the allocated partition of the Hard Disc Drive file will be lost after formatting. Please ensure that you start with a blank partition on your Hard Disk to ensure you don’t lose any data. Do NOT unplug your Hard Disc or your USB device during formatting or it will damage your device. Speed If the speed of your Hard Disc Drive or USB device is too low, it will not be compatible with this TV and FAIL will be displayed on the screen. You will not be able to record. Free Record Limit After formatting is complete, the unit will internally calculate the approximate number of hours your Hard Disc Drive or USB device can use for recording. You can check this in this menu. Aspect Ratio Press the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to select Aspect Ratio, then press the OK Button to enter the sub-Menu. Press the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to select your desired aspect ratio. There are different aspect ratios for your choice: Auto, 4:3, 16:9, Zoom1 and Zoom2. Blue Screen Press the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to select Blue Screen. Then press the ◄ or ► Buttons to Select On or Off - 26 - Factory Reset Press the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to select Reset and press the OK Button to enter the guide. Once confirmed, all the settings will be cleared. This should be used if you experience any issues with your TV. Grundig logo light You may set the Grundig logo light to OFF or On in Standby (default setting). If the OFF option is set, the brand logo light will be always off no matter if your TV is in Standby or Power ON mode. If “On in Standby” is set or left on the brand logo light will be ON when your TV is in Standby mode & it will be off when your TV is in Power on mode. Software Updated (USB) Press the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to select Software Update (USB). Then press the OK Button to update software by using a USB. Follow the software upgrade instructions provided with the software. Note: We recommend you perform Factory Reset to ensure the unit is successfully upgraded. EPG Menu The EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) Menu is used to look at what is to be broadcast on a DTV or Radio channel. Press the GUIDE Button to access the EPG Menu and the detailed program information of the channel currently being viewed will be displayed, and an 8-day guide is programmed. - 27 - To see what is going to be broadcast after the current program, press the ► Button. Press the◄ Button to move to the current program information. To view a different channel, press the ▲ or ▼ Buttons. If you wish to book a program to watch later, press the Navigation Buttons to highlight the program you want to book as Recording or for watching later. To exit the EPG Menu, press the GUIDE or EXIT Button. Note: Please refer to the bottom of the EPG screen for the basic remote control key functions. Record (Red Button) Press the RED Button on the remote control to record a program that has been highlighted for recording. There are four different recording modes: Auto, Once, Everyday and Weekly. You can press the Right or Left Buttons select one of the options. When the recoding has been set to Auto, the start time and end time of recording are depended on the broadcasting program. When the recording has been set to Once, Everyday or Weekly, you will be able to set the start time and end time for recording. Notes:  Please ensure a compatible Hard Disc Drive or USB device is inserted into the USB input on the back of the unit for scheduled recording. If your storage device is not compatible, you will be asked to format it. Press the MENU button to enter the PVR File System to format your device.  During the recording, if the picture is dim you may press the Standby Button to light the screen to view the program normally. - 28 - Display (Green Button) Press the GREEN Button to view the detailed information of the current program. Remind (Blue Button) If you wish to book a program to watch later press the BLUE Button to enter the Reminder sub-Menu. In the Reminder Menu, press the Right or Left Button to choose the program you would like to book for viewing. You may also set the reminder to Once, Everyday or Weekly. Schedule (Yellow Button) Press the YELLOW Button to view the schedule list of booked programs for watching or recording. There are two different icons shown in the schedule list for identifying booked programs for watching or recording. If you want to delete a program set for viewing or recording, you may press the UP or DOWN Button to highlight it and then press the RED Button to delete. Prev Day / Next Day Press the I<< or >>I Button to switch the date of EPG. DTV Recording To record the program you are currently watching press the REC Button. The record time length and remaining record Time will be displayed. To stop recording, press the Stop Button. - 29 - Notes:  Ensure the storage device used to record is inserted into the USB Input on the back of the unit and is compatible for recording. If your storage device is not compatible, you will be asked to format it. Press the MENU button to enter the PVR File System to format your device.  During recording, you are not allowed to change the channel to view the live TV program.  You may enter Media Player mode to view the recorded programs. Time Shift Press the ►II Button to pause the program you are watching. Please note you must be recording the program to activate Time Shift function. The below Menu will be displayed. Press the ►II Button again to resume play. Press the ■ Button to stop play or press the ►► or ◄◄ Button to fast forward or rewind play the program you are watching. You can also use the Right, Left, Up or Down Navigation Buttons to move the cursor to select the options (Play, FB, FF, Prev. Next, Pause or Stop) in the on screen menu. Notes: Ensure the storage device used for recording is inserted into the USB Input on the back of the unit and is compatible for recording. If your storage device is not compatible, you will be asked to format it. Press the MENU button to enter the PVR File System to format your device. Multi-Media Operation To play files from your USB or Hard Disc Drive, insert the device into the TV’s USB Input. Then press the SOURCE Button on the remote control to select Media Source and to display the Media Menu. - 30 - PHOTO/MUSIC/ MOVIE /TEXT Press the or Buttons to select the icon, then enter your storage device to view the files. Press the OK Button to play the file. Press the RED Button to delete the file you selected from your storage device. Press the I<< or >>I Button to view the previous or next file. Press the Stop Button to stop viewing. Press the MENU Button to return to the previous Menu or press the EXIT Button to exit PC You can use this TV as a computer monitor. Just connect the TV to your PC via the VGA Input and PC Audio In (cables not included). Press the SOURCE Button to select the PC mode. Press the MENU Button to display the Main Menu, and the below Screen Menu will appear (Only available when Inputting PC-RGB signal). DVD PLAYER OPERATION This item incorporates copy protection technology that is protected by U.S. patents and other intellectual property rights of Rovi Corporation. Reverse engineering and disassembly are prohibited. Basic operation 1. Press the SOURCE Button on the remote control to select the DVD mode. Insert a disc (DVD, CD or MP3) into the slot of DVD player from the right side. It will start to read the disc automatically. Press the EJECT Button on the remote control, the disc will automatically eject. Note: Insert the disc with reflective data side facing to the front of the TV. Some slight picture and sound noise are produced when the disc is loading, unloading and during playback. This is normal and can be ignored. 2. If you are playing a DVD disc, press the DVD.M Button to enter the DVD Play Menu. 3. If you are playing a MP3 disc, the table playing guide below will display. TV TYPE This Menu enables you to select one of the three aspect ratios: 4:3 PS / 4:3LB / 16:9. It is depended on your disc. PASSWORD This is used to lock and unlock the RATING setting. The default setting is locked. Enter the default password “0000” by numeric Buttons. Then press the OK Button to unlock. - 33 - RATING You could set the rating options according to your preference. The rating restriction is divided into eight different categories from KID SAFE to ADULT. The default setting is ADULT. DEFAULT SETTING Press the ▼ or ▲ Buttons to select Reset and press the OK Button to enter the guide. Once confirmed, all the settings will be cleared. LANGUAGE SETUP Audio languages, Subtitle languages and Menu languages are DVD discs specified. AUDIO SETUP Press the▲,▼,◄ or ► Buttons to select the AUDIO OUT setup icon, press OK Button to confirm. SPDIF/OFF: No Output is sent to the coaxial Output. Use this option if you have not connected the coaxial Output to any decoder or amplifier. SPDIF/RAW: When selected, the raw audio contained on the disc is passed directly to the Coaxial Output. Use this setting when connecting the coaxial Output to a multi-channel decoder/ amplifier. SPDIF/PCM: When selected, the audio contained on the disc is passed directly to the Coaxial Output in PCM format. This format ensures a very high quality but it does not support the surround sound effect. Use this setting when connecting the coaxial Output to a receiver-amplifier not capable of decoding multi-channel audio. - 34 - DIGITAL SETUP DYNAMIC RANGE The Dynamic Range allows you to adjust the compression ratio for different audio effect. When you select FULL, the peak signal value is smallest and when you select OFF, the peak signal value is biggest.
