Description of series and its contents: This collection consists of Scrapbooks and Albums organized by Winthrop students or faculty/staff which started between 1920 and 1929 or belonged to the members of a certain graduating class when placement in this series is more appropriate. Since many of the scrapbooks and albums span beyond a single decade, please also see W415.2-4D-3 for those that began between 1910 and 1919 and extended into the 1920-1929 timeframe. Beattie Perry Young Scrapbook (Class of 1928) -Consists of photographs, memorabilia, correspondence, autographs, programs, trunk tags, and invitations. Helen Cody Ball Scrapbook (Class of 1930) -Consists of photographs, memorabilia, programs, correspondence, invitations, commencement programs, tickets, trunk tags, greeting cards, handbooks, and autographs. Class of 1925 Scrapbook -Consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence, poems, and reminiscences from the Class of 1925 at their 60 th class reunion in 1985. Scrapbook (author unknown) -Consists of photographs, programs, correspondence, commencement programs, and newspaper clippings.

Maude Elizabeth Tallon Scrapbook (Class of 1927) -Consists of photographs, memorabilia, newspaper clippings, invitations, autographs, correspondence, tickets, and programs. Pauline “Polly” Weston Smoak Scrapbook (Class of 1932) -Consists of photographs, memorabilia, autographs, pennants, programs, postcards, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and invitations. Mary Ravenel Burgess Scrapbook (Class of 1933) -Consists of memorabilia, postcards, newspaper clippings, patches, tickets, handbooks, programs, and correspondence. Class of 1929 Scrapbook (2 copies) -Consists of a booklet produced by the Class of 1929 containing copies of photographs, newspaper articles, and reminiscences pertaining to the class. Most likely was printed for a reunion of the Class of 1929 and given to class members. Minnie Macfeat Scrapbook -Consists of photographs, memorabilia, newspaper clippings, and correspondence dedicated to Miss Minnie Macfeat, an 1888 Winthrop alumna and graduate of the Montessori School in Rome. Macfeat spearheaded the kindergarten movement in South Carolina and established a kindergarten program at Winthrop in 1899 Dunnie Belle Hartnesse Scrapbook -Consists of Winthrop Memorabilia, photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence and programs. Hattie Humphries Scrapbook -Consists of Winthrop Memorabilia, Programs, a Winthrop Garter, photographs, newspaper clippings, signatures, correspondence, and handbooks. Annie Mae Stephenson Wilkerson Scrapbook - Consists of pages of photographs of Annie Mae Stephenson Wilkerson with friends and family, donated by Joanna Key
