• Compact and sturdy for tough service applications and lab use • Overvoltage protection Protects the instrument against accidental connection to mains voltage Applications The METRAOHM 413 is a battery powered measuring instrument for the detection of low impedance of up to 200 Ω in electrical systems. Extensive protective conductor, earth conductor and potential equalization, as well as lightning arrester networks can also be quickly and reliably tested with the METRAOHM 413. Resistance is measured between a reference earth (e.g. a bonding conductor) and other desired points. A measuring current of 200 mA (in the 20 Ω range) and the automatic functions assure reliable measurement results. • Shunt adjustment in the instrumentation • Testing of electrical connections at conductor rails for open-pit mining, for industry or in household applications • Testing of cable resistance, wiring, shunt resistance in PCBs and thick film circuits • Measurement of contact resistance in relays, contactors and circuit interrupters • Measurement of fuse resistance as well as load resistance in power circuits • Testing of coil resistance in transformers, coils, small motors etc. Convenient operation Operation is very simple. A measurement cable of almost any desired length can be used thanks to offset balancing. Measurement polarity can be reversed. Both measurement values are stored, and can thus be compared. Resultant deviations in the measurement results (e.g. the presence of electrical voltages) can thus be recognized. Offset balancing The resistance of the measurement cable is compensated for with offset balancing. The offset is stored and can be used until new balancing occurs. This value remains stored within the instrument, even after it has been switched off. Various measurement cables with line resistances of up to 3.5 Ω can be used. Protection against operator error Safety devices protect the METRAOHM 413 against accidental connection to test components with an offset voltage of up to 500 V.

Extraneous voltage warning Optical warning with a red LED, as well an acoustic warning are generated. The voltage level is also displayed at the LCD, as long as the test prod makes contact. Energy saving circuit The measuring instrument is switched off automatically, if no key activation has occurred for about 20 seconds.

METRAOHM 413 accessories Reel with TR25 measurement cable Reel with 25 m measurement cable. The cable ends are equipped with banana plugs. Drum with TR50 measurement cable 50 m measurement cable rolled onto a metal drum. Connection to one end of the measurement cable is accomplished with a socket integrated into the drum. The other end is equipped with a banana plug. The drum axis with handle can be snapped together for space saving storage.
