Instructions for connecting a powered microphone eg Audiotechnica ATR3550 to an IPod, iPad or iPhone In order to connect a powered microphone such as the AudioTechnica ATR3550 into an iPod, iPhone or iPad for recording purposes you will need the following cables: CON01ADP (Conversor Adapter cable) – this is a 3.5mm 4-pin jack connector cable with a grey microphone socket and a black headset socket. Enables you to connect a microphone directly to the iOS device. CON01PMC – this is a 3.5mm stereo jack plug to 3.5mm stereo jack socket which connects the audio device to the adapter cable. This cable is attenuated and ensures the correct amount of signal reaches the iOS device microphone socket. Instructions for use Plug the 3.5mm plug from CONO1PMC into the Conversor adapter cable first, then plug the Conversor adapter cable into the iOS device using the 4-pin plug. This will then switch off the iOS on board microphone. Then plug the microphone into the silver socket on CON01PMC. Start recording and adjust the volume on the iOS device to give a good signal strength. Conversor Limited. September 2013 [email protected] www.conversorproducts.com 0870 066 3499
