Issues Solved Compared to XProtect Express 1.0b Fixed an issue where archives in some cases were deleted before the retention time was reached. If a Matrix Event was set up with multiple cameras prior to upgrading from Express 6.5, the configuration could not be read after upgrading to Express 8. This has been fixed. Fixed an issue where data in an archive would become unavailable when moved in scenarios with slow disk access. Fixed an issue where recorded data could become unavailable after having replaced a camera using the ‘Replace Hardware Device’ guide. ‘Send To Secondary Monitor’ was not working in XProtect Express. This has been fixed. Fixed an issue where manual recording could not exceed 35 minutes. Fixed an issue where the Image Server could stop if playing back cameras with only audio recorded. Optimized the handling of many (200+) inputs in the Management Application. Fixed an issue where disabled cameras would get their archives deleted based on the retention time set in the template and not the retention time set on the specific camera. Fixed an issue where motion sequence could disappear if the motion detection threshold was changed. Fixed an issue where license activation could fail in some scenarios.

Solved Compared to XProtect Smart Client 6.0d A performance issue regarding load of large Smart Wall views has been fixed. A performance issue regarding load of many bookmarks in the timeline has been fixed. Fixed an issue where Smart Wall would not be updated anymore after a configuration reload. Fixed an issue that could cause the Smart Client to stop working when playing back analytics data. When going into independent playback, the playback speed would be ½ speed. This is now fixed so playback speed is normal. Fixed an issue where the length of a given sequence in the timeline didn’t match the actual length of the sequence. Custom frame rate was not set on a camera when switching view. This is now fixed. If Windows was set to use a custom DPI setting other than 100%, the Smart Client would crash when entering the Setup tab. Fixed an issue in the Transact plug-in regarding search. The language parameter set when doing a silent installation didn’t work. This has been fixed. Solved Compared to XProtect Event Server 2.1b Fixed an issue that caused Express slaves not to be found. Fixed an issue that caused Express slaves on an external network to not be found. A performance issue regarding the loading of maps in the Smart Client has been fixed. Fixed an issue regarding use of cyclic maps causing the Event Server to stop.

Start the installation program, and proceed as instructed by the installation wizard.

You can upgrade from previous versions of XProtect Express. The previous version will automatically be uninstalled when you install XProtect Express 1.1.
