Card 4 Card 3 The RCONmini provides cooling functionality for the miniHUB frame and provides an unique upgrade fucntionality when new software revision are released. 4 Formats supported 3GSDI, HD-SDI & SD-SDI RS422 GPIO DVB-ASI MADI Analogue Video HDMI output Ethernet (Gbit) Passive ports In addition to the possibilities of the OC-4B-SDI card we have added 2, 8 channel CWDM modules in the passive ports of miniHUB frame. Other passive optical products can be inserted to give even more flexibility to the miniHUB platform, these include WDM and Optical splitters. By adding CWDM SFP’s to the OC-4B-SDI you can transform this one rack unit frame into a full 16 channel bi-directional CWDM fiber distribution system or two, 8 channel systems. 5 HDMI monitoring SFP RS422 & GPIO The next step forward has come with the introduction of the HDMI output SFP (NV30-HDMI-OUT) for the miniHUB system. The EX-8B-422 expansion card allows for integration of RS422 and GPIO signals into the standard one card solution (OC-4B-SDI) for easy distribution onto point to point fiber and CWDM solutions. This means you can take a normal fiber transport of SDI video over several hundred meters or kilometers and then decode straight to HDMI for monitoring of the signal. You can also keep the cost down of monitoring video signals with standard web browser rather then using high quality and expensive broadcast monitors. The EX-8B-422 card fits into the expansion slot of the miniHUB frame while still leaving space for four OC4B-SDI optical distribution cards. The EX-8B-422 data is routed to the first two optical ports of the first OC4B-SDI card in the frame. This makes the miniHUB one of the most compact systems on the market today. The EX-8B-422 allows for 8 optically coupled general purpose inputs or 8 relay buffered general purpose outputs. In addition to the GPIO functionality there is two RS422 ports for data communication. The NV30-HDMI-T HDMI sfp will receive the following standards SD video rates. (Supported format: 525/625, 720p/1080i (50/ 59.94/60 Hz), 1080p (23.98/24/25/29.97/30/50/ 59.94/60 Hz). The GPIO’s allows the miniHUB system to be used when Tally situations are needed or externally triggering is required. Added to the format flexible miniHUB is RS422 data for remote control of equipment and data exchange between broadcast systems. Audio is transparent to HDMI giving the ability to decode at the monitor with the appropriate decode circuitry for up to 8 audio channels. With the EX-8B-422 card inserted and using SFP1&2 as a transceiver port on the OC-4BSDI card, SFP ports 3&4 can be used for two more receive channel on the OC-4B-SDI. The HDMI monitoring SFP is an addition to the already format, application flexible OC-4B-SDI card. You can upgrade existing cards to re-purpose for new applications or on a temporary basis. HDMI (SFP) Right Justified = Output Analog Video SFP’s Adding to the format flexible, Application flexible OC-4B-SDI is two new SFP’s for allowing Analog video inputs and outputs. The NV03-COMP-2-IN and NV-03-COMP-2-OUT allows Digital to Analog conversion and Analog to Digital conversion for the OC-4B-SDI card. With the EX-8B-422 card inserted and using SFP1&2 as a transceiver port on the OC-4BSDI, SFP ports 3&4 can be used for two more transmit channel on the OC-4B-SDI. Using 10-bit encoding and decoding these new SFP can be used for conversion of Analog sources onto fiber optical transport to a remote digital plant. They are also good for decoding digital sources for legacy analog monitoring equipment. Intelligent Add/Drop/Pass The OC-4B-SDI, the one-card solution has received an upgrade with intelligent add/drop/pass functionality. In line with the no configuration theory behind the concept of the miniHUB platform the OC-4B-SDI will incorporate single and dual add/drop/pass circuits per OC-4B-SDI. The auto nature of the add/drop/pass will allow an user to add a coax signal just by plugging in the cable, thus adding the signal to the fiber while dropping of the signal that was originally on the fiber optic cable to multiple coax connectors. This makes setting up for a ring structure very easy or allows for auto selection on the tailgate of a truck to choose either coax or fiber depending on the run length, and then feed the signal directly to the routing system of the truck.
