each camera connected to a network remotely without being physically present. “URMET 4ch Viewer” is a professional software with DVR functions for monitoring groups of four remote cameras. The cameras must be installed and the network must be correctly configured to use the software. Refer to the corresponding installation manuals for installing the cameras. 1.1 MAIN SOFTWARE FUNCTIONS Watch live remote camera feed. Monitor connected I/O devices in real time. Operate cameras with Pan/Tilt/Zoom functions. Listen to remote site audio. Speak to remote users. Record audio and video signals. Record in Motion Detection or upon event mode. Organise camera groups. Program camera and MPEG4 encoding parameters. 1.2 COMPATIBLE PRODUCTS This software is compatible with the 1090/667 and 1090/669 network interfaces. Refer to the respective installation and hardware manuals for additional information on these products. 1.3 MODEL BRIEF DESCRIPTION 1090/667 1 channel MPEG4 1 QVGA video server 1090/669 4 channel MPEG4 1 QVGA video server IF THE REMOTE CAMERA IS NOT ACCESSIBLE FROM THE PC Firstly check the connections and network configuration if the remote camera is not accessible from your PC. If the network includes a device with Firewall functions (i.e. a router), the ports used by the video server (1090/667 and 1090/669) may be blocked. Video servers use two consecutive ports to establish audio and video connections. The choice of which ports to use is made by the user during the “URMET 4ch Viewer” software configuration (see chapter 4.4). If the port selected during configuration (e.g. 700) is used for the audio connection, the port next to it (e.g. port 701) will be used for the video connection. Check that the ports are used for TCP data transmission if device connection problems are found. All devices to be connected via the “URMET 4CH Viewer” software must be appropriately configured using the “Admin Tool” configuration software. Refer to the “Admin Tool” software instruction manual for how to configure the video servers (1090/667 and 1090/669). 1.4 REMOTE CAMERA AUTHENTICATION: “ADMIN” OR “USER” MODE There are two camera authentication levels: • • Administration level (Admin) User level (Guest). Log in as “Admin” for accessing advanced functions and for configuring camera parameters. Simply log in as a “User” for normal camera use. Refer to chapter 4.8.1 for more detailed information. DS1090-162 4 LBT7895 2 2.1 INSTALLATION/UNINSTALLATION INSTALLATION Insert the CD-ROM in the driver to install the “URMET 4ch Viewer” software. The installation program will start-up automatically. The installation program will not start-up automatically if the autorun function is deactivated on your PC. Browse the CD manually and select the setup file. 2.2 UNINSTALLATION Proceed as shown below to uninstall the software from your computer. Press (START → Programs → 4ch viewer → Uninstall 4ch viewer) Figure 1 Software uninstallation DS1090-162 5 LBT7895 3 HOME PAGE The user interface button for controlling the system appear on the home page. Once the system is correctly set up, this page will be sufficient to display and listen to the remote cameras. The PTZ controls are also found on the home page.
