Below you can find a typical application example using MOD6: MOD6 Quad A/V RF PAL Modulator DESCRIPTION MOD6 is a professional DSB quad RF PAL, "full band" modulator. It can be used to convert and distribute four Audio/CVBS signals (eg. coming from 4 x DVD players or STBs etc.) into a CATV network as RF PAL signal. It consists of four independent internal RF modulators, able to work in different frequencies in the VHF/UHF band according to the selected norm! The onboard display and buttons provides a very friendly user interface for controlling and programming the MOD6. Finally, a very powerful amplifier at the output of MOD6 provides an RF output level of 100dBμV approx. in each output channel! Step 2: Using the UP/DOWN buttons we are able to choose the required RF output channel. The RF output channels are presented in frequency order. The combination: "00" mutes the RF output of the selected modulator. Step 3: Wait for 2-3 seconds for the internal PLL to lock in desired frequency. Step 4: We are repeating the steps from 1 to 3 for the other modulators too. Step 5: We are able to adjust the RF output level by using the onboard attenuator. Caution!!! MOD6 is a quad DSB RF PAL modulator meaning the we must not program the output channels in adjacent channels. Typical application example Figure Νο1 1. Internal modulator selection 2.
