This equipment should never be operated by children or individuals that are untrained or incapable of understanding these safety precautions! 2. Do not reach into the feed opening for any reason! Never insert fingers, hands, other extremities, or objects not meant to be shredded into the feed opening! 3. Do not operate or come in close proximity to this equipment wearing long hair, necktie, loose clothing, or jewelry which may activate a photoelectric on/off switch and/or be pulled into the shredder. 4. Maintenance or repair of this equipment should be performed only be trained, authorized service personnel. 5. Always disconnect electrical power (unplug) before removing or opening the cover or other panels providing access to internal mechanisms. Do not operate the machine without the safety flap (A) For NATIONWIDE SERVICE CALL 1(800)225-9293 5 INSTALLATION Place machine onto the shred bin or cabinet Plug into the wall socket For NATIONWIDE SERVICE CALL 1(800)225-9293 6 OPERATION Turn the main switch to position”I”. The green control light will light (1) ready for operation. Starts automatically when paper, CD/DVD or credit cards are inserted (2). Stops automatically when no further paper, CD/DVD or credit cards are inserted. Stops automatically if too much paper is inserted (Machine Jams) For NATIONWIDE SERVICE CALL 1(800)225-9293 7 OPERATION Cont… Press reverse button (1) and remove paper (2). Reset by pressing the rocker switch to position “I” (3). Re-feed the paper in smaller quantities (4). CD/DVD: Should CD/DVD cause a jam when being destroyed, press the reverse button “R”. Empty the shred bin when it is full. (Level can be seen in the window (A). Remove and empty the shred bin for CD/DVD. For NATIONWIDE SERVICE CALL 1(800)225-9293 8 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING If the sheet capacity reduces or after the shred bin is emptied oil the shredding mechanism (see picture). From time to time clean the output area of the cutting head. • Disconnect from mains • Remove paper debris with a brush (DANGER OF INJURY) For NATIONWIDE SERVICE CALL 1(800)225-9293 9 TROUBLESHOOTING Machine will not start. Is the machine plugged in? For NATIONWIDE SERVICE CALL 1(800)225-9293 10 TROUBLESHOOTING Cont.. Is machine placed correctly on the shred bin or cabinet? (A) Is shred bin is pushed in? Is the switch in position ”I”? Green LED lamp lights up? (1) Insert paper (2) For NATIONWIDE SERVICE CALL 1(800)225-9293 11 TROUBLESHOOTING Cont.. Feed paper into the center of the feed opening? (Photo Cell) Machine will not stop. Remove plug from main, clean the photo cell (A) with a small brush. Machine stops. Overload protection. Cooling down period approximately 10-15 minutes. For NATIONWIDE SERVICE CALL 1(800)225-9293 12 TROUBLESHOOTING Cont.. Empty the shred bins in sufficient time, at least daily, so that no interference is caused to the cutting heads.
