KEY FEATURES
OFF-ROAD PERFORMANCE ESSENTIALS RUV World’s Only High-performance V-Twin / CVT Transmission The only V-Twin in its category offers excellent engine power characteristics: smooth, strong power at all rpm – especially in the mid-range – and quick response. Combined with the CVT transmission, the result is instantaneous acceleration – at any rpm. And with fuel injection, setting adjustments to match altitude changes are unnecessary, idling adjustments are unnecessary, and starting is hassle-free. * Ample torque output from the powerful, liquid-cooled, 749 cm3 SOHC, 4-valve fuel-injected V-twin engine contributes to the Teryx’s superb acceleration. * Oversquare bore and stroke measure 85 x 66 mm. * The 90o V-Twin configuration offers perfect primary balance, resulting in low engine vibration. NEW
* Slightly increased flyweight mass offers a slight increase in torque feel. * Taking into account coolant temperature, air intake temperature, throttle position, air intake pressure, vehicle speed and crankshaft angle, the fuel injection system (which uses 34 mm throttle bodies and a 32-bit CPU) automatically meters out the ideal amount of fuel for extremely stable power delivery – no matter what the conditions. * A high-pressure fuel pump is located inside the tank. A unique reservoir chamber at the bottom of the fuel pump ensures air does not get into the fuel system. * Engine power characteristics combined with CVT offer phenomenal acceleration. The CTV gives a very direct feel from the engine, and response is also very quick – ideal characteristics for hard riding.

KEY FEATURES
* To minimise unnecessary belt wear, a transmission failsafe system automatically retards ignition timing and warns the rider via a belt warning lamp should the engine operate at high rpm for more than 2 seconds while the rear wheels remain motionless (i.e. rear wheels are immobilised and the belt is slipping). The system makes use of input from a gear sensor (not in neutral), vehicle speed (measured from the rear wheel), TPS and engine speed. NEW
* ECU features a fuel injection cut control that limits engine speed should the driver attempt to ride away with the parking brake still engaged.
NEW
* Larger-diameter radiator fan (211 mm >> 282 mm) increases cooling capacity. * Heat shielding on the exhaust pipe below the intake duct effectively reduces intake temperature.

KEY FEATURES
Highly Stable Chassis Construction To harness the full potential of its mighty V-Twin engine, the Teryx features a stable wide-body chassis and robust, highly rigid frame. * The wide track contributes to dynamic stability. Using the same long A-arm concept seen on sport ATVs, the frame was made as narrow as possible to maximise the length of the front and rear suspension’s lower A-arms, contributing to excellent road-handling performance. (Photo 3) * The Teryx’s stable wide-body chassis combined with its mid-ship engine and sport-focused suspension, offers riders a package that maximises cornering performance. (Photo 4)
* Robust frame contributes to both stability and sporty performance. Its large-diameter, thin-walled tubular frame offers high rigidity – a perfect base for off-road performance riding. *
The Teryx features a Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS). The Teryx ROPS system meets the US/EU and Australian regulations.

KEY FEATURES
High-grade Sport-focused Suspension Enables Hard Riding The Teryx’s sporty suspension settings were decided based on the design aim to ensure controlled riding right up to the vehicle’s maximum speed. Combined with the wide-track chassis and mid-ship engine, the highly reliable Kayaba suspension’s ground-following ability enables sure-footed handling in rough terrain and superb cornering performance.
* High-performance, single-chamber gas-charged shocks offer excellent fade-resistant damping performance, even in hard conditions. (Photo 5) * Rear shocks feature piggy-back reservoirs. The extra volume of oil helps the shocks run cooler, enabling more stable damping performance under hard conditions. (Photo 6) * Both front and rear shocks are preload-adjustable. 5

KEY FEATURES
High-performance Off-road Brake Performance The combination of high-performance disc brakes at the front and a sealed wet brake at the rear offers formidable braking power – an essential component for hard riding. Using two independent systems also ensures reliable braking performance is maintained even in wet or muddy conditions. The independant park brake is foot operated with a quick release lever under the dash on the left hand side. * Dual 200 mm front brakes gripped by 27 mm twin-piston calipers provide solid stopping power at the front. The discs are recessed in wheels to provide protection from debris, while the rigid-mount calipers deliver enhanced brake feel and increased control. (Photo 9)
* At the rear, the Teryx features Kawasaki’s unique sealed, internal wet brake. Similar to the highly acclaimed design seen on our Brute Force and Prairie ATVs, internal components are completely sealed from mud and dust, etc, ensuring uncompromised rear braking performance. The compact size contributes to a favourable ground clearance. (Photo 10) * The sealed, internal wet brake also offers longer wear life than standard disc brakes.

KEY FEATURES
Variable Front Differential Control
11
* Variable front differential control makes it much easier to get the Teryx moving should it get stuck. Control is via a hand lever located between the seats. By partially raising the lever, the rider is able to fine-tune the amount of torque to suit conditions. Without rider intervention, the system functions as a limited slip differential. Applying force to the lever increases the torque (thereby reducing slip) to a maximum level equivalent to that of a mechanical differential lock (i.e. no slip) when the system is fully engaged. (Photo 11)
Selectable 4WD * Electrically “selectable” 2WD/4WD system allows easy changing between 2WD-mode for maximum sport performance and 4WD-mode for when the terrain gets tough. (Photo 12) * Once the switch is flipped, the system engages instantly, ensuring the rider has full control of when 4WD is activated.
12
Large 26” Tyres * The Teryx sports the largest tyres available in the RUV category. Its 12” rims and 26” tyres, more easily able to overcome obstacles than smaller tyres, contribute to its excellent rough road handling. * MAXXIS tyres specially developed for the Teryx maximise forward traction while offering excellent control characteristics for aggressive cornering.
