2 Disassembly and Assembly Instructions 2.1.
Cord Reel
2.1.1.
Removal
1. Lift the dust cup handle and remove dust cup from canister. 2. Remove two (2) screws from canister carry handle.
4. Press the sides of the handle inward and lift off.
3. Pull outward slightly on each side of the handle cover and lift off.

8. Remove seven (7) screws as shown.
5. Remove one (1) screw from the rear of the canister.
9. Pull the power cord out of the canister 1-2 feet and lift off the upper body. 6. Using a screwdriver, press the tabs to release the cover.
7. Lift cover off. 10. Route the power cord plug through the opening in the upper body. 11. IMPORTANT: Make note of wire routing for later reference. 12. Pull outward slightly on lower body of canister. 13. Lift cord reel up and out of lower body.
14. Disconnect cord reel lead wire from overload protector and cut white lead wire and blue lead wires just below crimp connector.

Reinstallation
1. Strip white lead wire from motor and blue lead wire from PCB which were cut during removal of cord reel approximately 1/4” 2. Connect white lead wire from motor, and blue lead wires from cord reel and PCB with a wire nut. 3. Connect brown lead wire with terminal from cord reel to overload protector. 4. Insert cord reel into lower body until cord reel post snaps into place in lower body.

Fan Motor
2.2.1.
Removal
1. Remove dust cup, handle cover, handle, cover, upper body. (see CORD REEL) 2. Remove connector pipe.
3. Loosen motor support cover tabs and lift off motor support cover and lift out motor assembly.
5. Route all wiring according to wire management drawing and tuck wire nut into cavity in the motor inclosure. 6. Route the power cord plug through the opening in the upper body. 7. Reinstall upper body and seven (7) screws. 8. Reinstall cover. Make sure it is snapped into place. Secure with one (1) screw in rear of canister. 9. Reinstall handle, handle cover, and two (2) screws. 10. Reinstall dust cup.
4. Remove lead wires and motor supports from fan motor. Save these for use with new canister motor. 5. Discard old canister motor.
2.2.2.
Reinstallation
1. Place motor supports on new canister motor and connect lead wires. 2. Place motor assembly into motor case and route all wires according to wire management drawing. 3. Reinstall motor support cover. 4. Reinstall connector pipe. 5. Reinstall upper body, handle, handle cover, & dust cup. (See CORD REEL)
