UNPACKING THE UNIT 1.Carefully remove unit from its packaging. 2.Remove polystyrene shipper. 3.PLEASE ENSURE YOU RETAIN ALL PACKAGING!
POWER SOURCE Unwind the AC power cord at the back of the unit and connect it to a 230V Mains power outlet.

RADIO OPERATION 1.Switch the FUNCTION knob (6) anti-clockwise to choose MW or FM. 2.Ensure the FM antenna wire (19) is uncoiled. 3.Turn the ON/OFF VOLUME CONTROL knob (4) in a clockwise direction to turn the unit on. The FM STEREO LED INDICATOR (1) will light up when receiving Stereo FM broadcasts 4.Turn the TUNING knob (5) to move the POINTER (2) on the DIAL SCALE (3) to the desired station. 5.The Volume can be adjusted by turning the ON/OFF VOLUME CONTROL (4) to the desired level. 1
Using the remote controller for CD Operation All the function on the remote controller are only available for CD.

CD OPERATION 1.Rotate the FUNCTION KNOB (6) to the CD position. 2.The CD TRACK NUMBER DISPLAY (9) will illuminate. 3.Press the OPEN/CLOSE button (11) and insert your CD with the printed side of the disc facing upwards into the CD Drawer(7). 4.Press the OPEN/CLOSE button (11) and allow time for the disc to initialize and the total number of tracks will be displayed. 5.Then press the PLAY/PAUSE button (14) and adjust the VOLUME (4) to the desired sound level. 6.To move the tracks upwards, press the FORWARD SKIP button (13), or to go back a track, press BACKWARD SKIP button (12). 7.To pause the track, press the PLAY/PAUSE button (14). 8.To stop the Player, press the STOP button (15).
TURNTABLE OPERATION 1.Rotate the FUNCTION knob (6) to the PHONO position. 2.Select the speed of the record, SPEED CHANGER button (22). 3.Place a record onto the turntable. Lift the Tone Arm with the ARM CUE (21) and move gently to the desired position over the record. 4.Lower the ARM CUE (21) and note that, if the turntable does not rotate when the tone arm is moved towards the record, this may be an indication the Drive belt has been detached from the Turntable. If so,p lease r efer to the Reattaching the Turntable Drive Belt section further in this booklet. 5.The tone arm will automatically return to the Tone Arm rest after reaching the end of the record.
CASSETTE FUNCTION 1.Rotate the FUNCTION knob (6) to the Tape position. 2.Insert the Tape with the narrowest edge into the slot with the exposed tape end facing the rear of the cabinet. 3.Ease the cassette into the mechanism and the cassette will automatically latch into position. 4.Adjust the Volume to the desired sound level. 5.Should you wish to skip tracks, press the EJECT/FFWD button (26) halfway in and this will engage the Fast Forward Mode. 6.To rewind, eject the tape and turn the tape over and repeat the above procedure. 3
Handing Of Tapes And Compact Discs
Finger marks and dust should be carefully wiped off the disc's recorded surface with a soft cloth (not included).

THE BELT IS FACTORY FITTED - USE THESE INSTRUCTIONS ONLY IF THE TURNTABLE FAILS TO REVOLVE.... STEP 1 Use a screwdriver to remove the black iron C-clip and lift the turntable off the phonograph mechanism. Iron binder

STEP 2 Retrieve the dropped black rubber band and replace it around the column on the bottom of the turntable, then pull it out gently without overstretching and hook the band around the small column point at the edge of the turntable, as shown in the diagram. Rubber band
STEP 3 To fix the turntable back onto the phonograph mechanism, make sure the column point is positioned over the correct place on the phonograph mechanism, while placing the axis of the turntable in the hole on the phonograph mechanism, as shown in the diagram.
STEP 4 Gently turn the turntable until a 'plop'-sound is heard, which indicates the repositioning of the rubber band. Replace the C-clip to secure the turntable.

When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken not to touch such power lines or circuits as contact with them might be fatal. 16.Overloading - Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles as this could result in a risk of fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. 17.Servicing - Do not attempt to service this product yourself as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. 18.Damage Requiring Service - Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: a.
