The warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty does not apply to units, which have been damaged or abused intentionally or unintentionally. A purchase from individuals or unauthorized Internet sites such as eBay voids the warranty. Tampering with or altering the unit will void the warranty. Any unauthorized service will void warranty. A copy of your original sales receipt must be produced for any warranty service and a Return Authorization (RA) number must be obtained from customer service at 877-‐269-‐8490 prior to returning product.

Overview Stealth Cam’s Dash Cam is a camera system that provides a safe and convenient DIY recording solution for all types of applications. The camera system is easily installed allowing the user to record the video and preview on the portable 2.5” LCD screen. This camera captures video day or night. It’s versatile and easy to operate. It’s ready to use right out of the box. No wiring necessary. It’s great for recording your traveling adventure or an accident. Please read the entire installation instructions and take caution whenever using this device in and around motor vehicles. Becoming familiar with the capabilities and limitations of this device will help insure its safe and proper use. By purchasing, installing and operating this device on a motor vehicle, the customer agrees to take full responsibility for the safe operation of the vehicle when using this product. No such device can replace what is the ultimate responsibility of the driver. Driver should NOT rely on this product as a substitute for attention to surrounding when operating a motor vehicle. DO NOT install this product in a location that obstructs the clear field of vision for the driver. Cautions • DO NOT immerse the camera in water or any other liquids. • DO NOT attempt to charge the camera with any electrical source other than the ones supplied with the system. • Properly dispose of the batteries with regard to the environment. • DO NOT open or attempt to repair the camera or monitor. Initial Setup To perform initial setup, turn on the camera by holding the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds and then press MENU button three times immediately after the Stealth Cam welcome screen. Version (Software version) Mounting your camera Slide bracket into the camera mount hole located on the back of the camera, then put the suction cup in a suitable location, then adjust the location and direction. 10 Note: If you need to mount in a location that requires the cameras to be upside down, you’ll need to turn the Rotate setting ON. When Rotate is turned on, display on camera screen will show upside down image while the image/video captured is in the correct orientation. Mode Setting There are three modes you can choose -‐ video, camera, and playback mode. Video is the default mode. 1. Video Mode – Record a video file. 2. Camera Mode – Record a still image file. 3. Playback Mode – To view your video or still image on the screen. Turn the camera ON. The camera will start the auto record function. The indicator will flash blue on the REC button as well as a red circle icon flash continuously in the upper left hand corner of 7
the display screen. Press REC button to stop the auto record and put the camera in pause mode. Use the UP/DOWN button to choose the setting you want to change. Press the REC button to enter the setting screen and then press UP/DOWN button to select your option. To make changes in your still image capture setting, press MENU button to enter the still image setup screen. Use the UP/DOWN button to choose the setting you want to change. Press the REC button to enter the setting options and then press UP/DOWN button to select your option. Press REC button to save and then Press MENU to exit. 1. Quick Review: Off/2 seconds/5 seconds. 12. Date Stamp: Off / Date / Date & Time Playback Mode While camera is paused, press MODE button twice to enter playback mode. Use UP/DOWN button to select the file you want to view on the screen. For video file press REC button to playback on the screen. Delete and Protect Files DELETE: You can delete your recorded files while in Playback mode. Press MENU button to enter Delete/Protect screen. Press UP/DOWN button to select Delete function. Press REC button and then press UP/DOWN button to select Delete Current or Delete All. Press REC button to confirm and then press UP/DOWN button to select Cancel/OK. Press REC button to confirm and then press MENU button to exit. PROTECT: You can protect (Lock) important files you would like to keep. Press MENU button to enter Delete/Protect interface. Press UP/DOWN button to select Protect function. Press REC button and then press UP/DOWN button to select Lock One/Unlock One/Lock All/Unlock All. Press Record button to confirm and then press 10
MENU button to exit. You will see a Key symbol on the top of the playback footage. This signifies the file is locked. Useful tip -‐ Protect Important Files During Recording You can protect (Lock) important files you would like to keep by pressing MODE button while recording. You will see a Key symbol on the top of the display. This signifies the file is locked. This function is useful at time of the event so you don’t forget to Lock the file afterwards. NOTE: Locked files can only be deleted under Format. Activate IR LED Your camera is equipped with 6 IR LED for low light illumination. Whenever you are in an area where ambient light is low you can turn on the IR LED to help illuminate the image. While the Camera is on, press the On/Off button once. Do not hold the button for more than a second. A yellow star/moon icon will display on the top center of your display. Images/video capture with IR illuminated are in Black and White. View your recording on a Computer You can use your computer to playback the video files via Quick Time on Mac iOS computer or Window’s Media Player if you are using a Window based PC. 11
USB Mode Connect the camera to a computer USB port via the USB cable that came with the unit. The camera display will show two options: Mass Storage / PC Camera. Use the UP/DOWN button to choose Mass Storage and then press REC button. The unit will display as a removable disk in [MY COMPUTER] for Window based PC user or as a removable disk in the desk top for a Mac iOS user. High definition TV or display preview Through HDMI cable (not included) and TV terminal connections, your camera will enter playback mode automatically. Press UP/DOWN button to select a file that you want to preview. Press REC button to begin playback or pause.
