Modem Manual Driver Installation This manual gives you a brief introduction about how to set the modem and assists you to install the modem in your PC correctly. Also follow the steps according to the windows appear on your PC installation. Procedures for windows98/2000/ME/Vista/Win7 Fax modem PCI card with plug and play function, so you do not worry about the hardware configuration since a complete setup can be run with the help of the plug and play driver, that is included or with windows98/2000/ME/Vista/Win7 software 1. Once you have completed the hardware connection, turn on your computer, after running windows98/2000/ME/Vista/Win7 system, it will detect a new device and the following message will appear, click “Next” 2.Put the CD containing driver for windows98/2000/ME/Vista/Win7 system into your CD-ROM driver, then select “Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)”option, click “Next” 3.Specify the location of the modem driver, Eg: CD: \Modem\your modem type\windows98/2000/ME/Vista/Win7, then click “Next” 4. You will find an icon of the driver appears on the lower right corner until the driver installation complete Dial-up settings (Take windows XP system for example) 1. System has installed a modem, open the network connection. 2. Click “Create a new connection” on the left panel. 3. Click “Next” 4. Choose “Connect to the Internet” and then click “Next” 5. Select “Set up my connection manually” then click “Next”. 6. Choose “Connect using a dial-up modem” then click “Next” 7. Enter an ISP name and click “Next” 8. Enter a dial-up number and then click “Next” 9. Click on “Next” 10. Click Finish Fax Settings 1. Make sure modem has been installed in the computer, open the Control Panel. 2. Double click “Add or Remove Programs” 3. Click “Add / Remove Windows Components” 4. Select “Fax services” then click “Next” 5. Click OK 6. Insert the system CD into the CD – ROM device, system will locate the installation files, click “OK”. 7. The system is installing fax service, please wait 8. Click “Finish” 9. System has installed the fax service, open the Printers and Faxes 10. Click “Install a local fax printer” on the left panel. 11. Fax service has installed successfully. Send a fax (Case) 1. Firstly, open the document that you want to send, choose “Print” on the file menu. 2. Select fax and click “Print” 3. Click “Next”. 4. Fill the number and name of both sender and receiver, click “Next” 5. Enter the subject and note, click “Next” 6. Click Next 7. Click “Finish”, fax is being sent 8. Open the Printers and Faxes, click the “Fax” 9. See the results of a sent fax. Receive Fax 1. Open the Printers and Faxes, click to fax 2.
