The three model line-up is made from rigid die-cast aluminium coated in a sumptuous black metallic or pearl white metallic high gloss lacquer and finished with brushed metal alloy side trims. Two satellite speakers, the A10 and the larger A40, and a powerful 500W (RMS) active subwoofer, the AW-12, share a beautifully curvaceous design, which oozes a sense of luxury and style to complement the finest contemporary interiors.
Due to its precision-engineered voicing, the Apex range can be mixed in any combination of satellites and subwoofer to match room size, shape and acoustics, delivering the audio range and quality of much larger hi fi speakers in an extremely stylish and space-friendly way.
Innovative high quality metal wall brackets supplied with the A10 and A40 are custom designed to make installation quick, easy and secure. When installed, the speaker can be tilted precisely for the best stereo or surround sound imaging. A stylish floor stand for the A10 is available. The stand is pre-wired internally for a superior ‘wire-free’ look.
Technologies
A new C-CAM® bass driver has been engineered exclusively for the Apex design. It uses the high performance RST® dimpled cone geometry devised for our specialised ‘GS’ and ‘RX’ hi-fi ranges. The 140mm RST cone is suspended on a rigid die-cast aluminium chassis and driven by an over-sized motor system featuring a high power voice coil with vented cooling. Paired with the bass driver is an optimised 25mm C-CAM gold-dome tweeter, FEA-tuned to reach beyond 35kHz.

The drivers are secured to the cabinet using a single central through-bolt fixing, which has the advantage of mechanically de-coupling the driver and baffle to enhance mid-band clarity and resolution. Each bolt acts as a cabinet brace to further reduce resonance.
The rifled HiVe®II port design developed for our flagship Platinum speaker range has been introduced to facilitate a more rapid movement of air through the Apex enclosure for life-like bass speed and punch.
A10
An ultra-compact stand or wall-mounting satellite speaker designed for use as an audiophile mini-monitor, or with the A40 and the AW-12 subwoofer in a high quality multi-channel sound system. The die-cast metal wall bracket supplied with the A10 provides for easy unobtrusive installation on wall, ceiling or even table top. The adjustment of a single screw provides for the full pivoting of the bracket through 30 degrees in all directions, allowing the speaker to be directed precisely and with ease.

A10 Stand
The stylish bespoke A10 stand, available in black and white is pre-wired with our own Silver Pureflow® cable to avoid unsightly hanging wires. An innovative mounting arrangement means that the A10 is automatically connected to the system as it slides onto the stand.
A40
The slender Apex A40 is intended to be used vertically or horizontally as a main speaker or to perform centre channel duties in a multichannel audio/video system. Due to Its very shallow depth (105mm), it is ideal for use with flat panel displays. With a clear and even response down to 55Hz, the A40 can deliver excellent hi-fi sound in a style-oriented two-channel system, or when combined with the AW-12 active subwoofer, stunning multi-channel sound defined by low distortion, tonal accuracy, pin-sharp imaging and dynamic drive. The A40 uses the 25mm gold dome C-CAM® tweeter driver found on the A10, flanked by dual 140mm C-CAM® bass/mid drivers. The A40 bracket is designed to provide the maximum flexibility when positioned next to thin displays. It holds A40 almost flush with the wall, but allows the speaker to be tilted toward the listening area and also forward or back to align the speaker front with that of the screen.

AW12
The AW-12 active subwoofer is completely new from the ground up. Every component, including the massively engineered front-firing 12” C-CAM® driver and 500 watt Class D amplifier has been purpose built for the AW-12.
The amplifier and complementary high efficiency switch mode power supply are able to deliver full power with a continuous rating, equal to most other subwoofers rated at 1000 watts. This means the AW-12 is able to provide high output with low distortion for continuous periods without fatigue or overheating. Finished in the Apex lacquers and complete with aluminium side trims, the AW-12’s sealed cabinet is easy to position, and the top-mounted control of volume, crossover and EQ makes for easy set-up and adjustment. The 12V trigger input allows for autoactivation when using a compatible A/V receiver or processor. A new adjustable foot design has the floor spike permanently fitted with a removable heavy duty rubber cover for solid or hard wood flooring.
