MosaicTM Dimmer 3 x 1000 W 784 30 Technical characteristics (1) * ( ) 50/60 Hz 1 x 2,5 mm2 2 x 1,5 mm2 Max. < 2200 W (2) (do not exceed 1000 W per channel) Min. 3 x 40 W 240 V~ Special provisions (see page 5) Operating current 0-10 V max. (sum of currents provided by ballasts): 50 mA Max. inrush current on contact closure at Min. 3 x 20 W 240 V~: 120 A – 20 ms ( ) * Use only transformers which are intended for use with an electronic switch. (1) Important: See page 4, "Specific intended programming". Max. 100 V~ (2) < 1100 W (2) (do not exceed 500 W per channel) It is expressly forbidden to combine loads with ferromagnetic and with electronic transformers on a same channel. Choice of scenario (A, B, C, D) factory preset, customizable (see page 6). Press briefly on + button, Prog 1, 2, 3 Wait 5 secs. The orange LED flashes. Performance and options with ballasts Control using RGB tubes •Y ou can link: - ballasts loaded by red T5 tubes (Philips or Osram T5 tubes ) to channel 1, - green tubes to channel 2, - blue tubes to channel 3. •B y controlling the RGB proportions, you can create scenarios favouring warm or cool colours or scenarios with dominant colours. The possibilities and results are identical using LED (lights) piloted by 0-10 V ballast Control using white tubes with different hue (T°) •Y ou can link: - ballasts loaded by warm white tubes to channel 1, - by cool white tubes to channel 2. •B y controlling the proportions, you can create scenarios favouring warm (white with colour temperature 3000K) or cool (white with colour temperature 7000K) colours. Dimmer incandescent/fluorescent mixed cabling •Y ou can mix channels, for example 1 channel for 0-10 V ballast, 2 channels for incandescent lamp dimmer. Cabling with DALI ballasts 10 Configuration with DALI ballasts Press + and Prog for the channel + Orange and green configuration LEDs come on, then release. Wait for 5 secs. Prog 1, 2, 3 One of the two configuration LEDs comes on steady. Performance and options with DALI ballasts • The dimmer can control 3 x 4 DALI ballasts without adding an external DALI power supply. Above 4 ballasts per channel, you have to add a power supply to the DALI standard on the channel. If the channel has a DALI power supply, the maximum number of ballasts is 60. Control using RGB tubes (see page 4) Control using white tubes with different hue (see page 4) Dimmer incandescent/halogen mixed cabling (see page 4) • All loads having a DALI input are taken into account. The controller does not have DALI protocol loaded. The addressing remains cabled addressing. The controller enables ballasts to the "DALI standard" to be piloted, but it does not meet the "DALI standard". • This function is being able to increase the installed power, or being able to realize a 6-channel pseudo dimmer (see expert cabling). Example: 40 ballasts of 54 W on each of the channels give an installed power of 6480 W. Cabling with DALI ballasts and incandescent or halogen lamp (6-channel dimmer) (expert mode) Channel 6 Channel 5 Channel 4 Phase cut Channel 3 Phase cut Channel 2 Phase cut Channel 1 11 Expert mode configuration (case 1), 6 channels coupled 2 by 2 Channels 1, 2, 3 (incandescent) and 4, 5, 6 (DALI) are not separated. + The +, - controls and scenario controls act on both channels at the same time. No configuration required, the default mode is operational: - channel 1 is coupled to channel 4 - channel 2 is coupled to channel 5 - channel 3 is coupled to channel 6 - Configuration of a dimmer channel with DALI ballasts in expert mode (case 2) Channels 1, 2, 3 (incandescent) and 4, 5, 6 (DALI) are separated. For working in this mode: +/ON - Press + and Prog, the two configuration LEDs (orange & green) come on, then release. - Short press on the – button. Wait for 5 secs. - To set channels 4, 5, 6 using the + and – buttons, press + and – for 5 sec. Prog -/OFF - To return to the settings of channels 1, 2, 3, short press on + and –. In this case, use of the + and – control buttons is deactivated. Dimming is then only possible using remote control Cat. No. 784 31. To return to Expert mode (case 1), press + and Prog. Scenario setting valid for all modes To set a scenario, open learning by pressing the learn button (the learn LED blinks slowly). Select the scenario by pressing the scene button A, B, C or D (the learn LED blinks fast). Scenarios button Set the scenario by pressing the + and – buttons of each channel. LEARN indicator light Close the leraning process by pressing the Learn button (The Learn indicator light goes out). Learn button If learning has not been closed, it will close automatically after 10 minutes without any new save. Default configuration: Operation Channel 1 The lighting controller contains 4 scenarios. If is possible to associate each of the scenarios with one of the buttons on the infrared remote control (784 31). For example, button 1 on the remote control can be associated with scenario A, buttons 2 with scenario B, etc. Channel 2 Channel 3 Scenario A ON ON ON Scenario B 66% 66% 66% Scenario C OFF OFF OFF Scenario D 33% 33% 33% Safety instructions This product should be installed in line with installation rules, preferably by a qualified electrician.
