KIT NO. 1524-1 1. Important: please use all supplied bolts and parts and read all instructions carefully before beginning this installation. The majority of questions you may have can be answered within the text, and proper installation will ensure safe and secure travel. Now, begin the installation. This bracket kit is one of our XL Series, which consists of two receiver braces, two removable front braces and a hardware packet. It utilizes the tie down plate mounts and the front suspension mount bolt on each side of the frame. To start, remove the tie down plates and save the bolts. 2. Remove the front bolts (only) from the suspension subframe. Now, bolt through the rear of the lower receivers with the same bolts and the provided 12mm lock washers, and flat washers. Tighten the bolts to pull the braces up into position, Then bolt to the side of the frame using the original six tie down bolts. Do not tighten at this time. 3. Insert the upper braces into the receivers and secure in place with the supplied 5/8” draw pins. 4. Mount the tow bar according to the manufacturer's instructions and align the bar and braces. 5. Tighten all bolts to the torque specifications below. Now, use the provided cable connectors to install the provided safety cables between the lower receiver braces and the tow vehicle's safety cables. 6. Recheck the installation and be sure all bolts are tight and the safety cables are properly installed. Note: this XL bracket has been designed to enhance the convenience of our quick disconnect bar. Other types of bars may require that the bar itself be removed before removing the upper braces from the receivers.
