Important: please use all supplied bolts and parts and read all instructions carefully before beginning this installation. The majority of questions you may have can be answered within the text, and proper installation will ensure safe and secure travel. Now, begin the installation. This bracket kit utilizes the front sub frame as mounting points. Remove the front spoiler for proper access. 2. Install the braces one at a time beginning with the passenger side brace (A). Hold the brace to the bottom and side of the front sub frame arm. Locate the existing hole in the sub frame which lines up with the rear most hole in the brace. Bolt through this hole using a ¼” x 1½” x 2” backing plate and supplied ½” x 1½” carriage bolt, lock washer and nut. Now, find the special 2-holed crescent shaped backing plate (D) and fit into the sub frame arm so that the hole closest to the edge of the plate lines up with an existing hole. Bolt through the backing plate, sub frame and brace with a ½” x 1½” bolt, lock washer and nut. 3. Tighten the bolts and use the brace as a template to drill the remaining two ½” holes. Bolt through the remaining hole in the front backing plate with a ½” x 1 ½” bolt, lock washer and nut. Use a ¼” x 2” x 2” backing plate and ½” x 1 ½” carriage bolt, lock washer and nut in the remaining rear side hole. 4. The same procedure will be followed with the drivers side brace (B) with the exception of the front holes. The special backing plate (C) for the front of the brace has only one hole. Drill through and bolt as in step 3. The front side hole should be located over an existing side hole that will have to be enlarged. Bolt using a ¼” x 2” x 2” backing plate, ½” x 1½” carriage bolt, lock washer and nut. 5. Mount the tow bar following the manufacturer’s instructions. Align the braces and tighten to the torque specifications below. Trim the spoiler to fit and install.
