Important: please use all supplied bolts and parts and read all instructions carefully before beginning this installation. The majority of questions you may have can be answered within the text, and proper installation will ensure safe and secure travel. Now, begin the installation. This bracket utilizes the front tie downs and subframe as attachment points. 2. Hold the respective brace (A or B) to the inside of the tie down. Refer to the diagram and hold the appropriate special backing plate to the outside of the tie down. Insert a ½” x 1-1/2” bolt with lock washer through the backing plate, tie down and into the main brace.NOTE: some models will have oil cooler lines routed close to the inside of the driver side frame. Make sure the lines do not make contact with the bracket of the bolts after installation is complete. Repeat step 2 on the other side. 3. Adjust the bracket so that the rear tab is flat against the subframe in the rear and the oval outside holes at the front of the brackets measure 30” on center. Tighten the four bracket bolts to the torque specifications below. Using the bracket as a template, drill a ½” hole into the bottom of the subframe on each side. “Fish Wire” a ½” x 1-1/2” carriage bolt and a ¼” x 1-1/4” x 2” square hole backing plate through the access hole in the side of the frame and down through the hole just drilled. 4. Torque all bolts according to the chart below and mount the tow bar to the brackets according to the tow bar manufacturer’s instructions.
