The majority of questions you may have can be answered within the text, and proper installation will ensure safe and secure travel. Now, begin the installation. This bracket kit is a XL Series which disconnects when not in use. The kit consists of two receiver braces which mount in place of the normal tie down plates and front braces which come forward and in front of the bumper. A hardware kit is included. 2. Begin by removing two screws from the front of the lower splash guards on each side of the vehicle. Pull the splash guards away from the tie down plates to expose the mounting bolts. 3. Remove the tie down plates on each side and save the mounting bolts. 4. Use the bolts to mount the receiver braces on each side. Tighten hand tight. Note: three bolts on the driver side and four on the passenger side. 5. Slide the front braces into the lower receivers and pin in place using the provided 5/8" draw pins and 1/8" spring pins. 6. Now, align the braces with each other and tighten the mounting bolts to the torque specifications below. 7. Reinstall the splash panels. 8. Mount the tow bar according to the manufacturer’s instructions. 9. Attach the supplied 13" safety cables between the lower receivers and the tow bar using the supplied cable connectors.
