The V1-MP2 is the most feature rich video disk recorder available. It comes standard with a full function front panel, two audio channels and complete analog video inputs and outputs. Digital component video, embedded audio and up to 8 channels of AES/EBU digital audio are available as options. Storage & Remote Operation The V1-MP2 features space for two removable drives. Additional storage capacity can be added via an external video storage unit. The V1-MP2 can function as one of 24 video channels via the V1 Server System for centralized control and access to thousands of hours of video. For remote operation the V1-MP2 provides two RS-422 ports (Sony serial 9-pin protocol) and 100BaseT Ethernet. The V1MP2 can be assigned its own IP address for access by any workstation connected to a TCP/IP network. Machine control and clip creation and management software are provided.
Frame Accurate Quality Video & Audio The V1-MP2 utilizes MPEG2 compression to provide a high quality video image while requiring significantly less disk space compared to other compression standards. The V1-MP2 uses a 2 frame (IB) GOP compression structure and an advanced constant block size compression system (CBSC) for frame accurate edits and synchronization of audio and video. CBSC also allows for accurate independent recording of each video, audio or time code track.
