MPEG4 (Wireless) Internet CCD Camera Quick Installation Guide Rev. 01 (Nov.2006) Made in Taiwan 1 1 Before You Begin… System Requirement: ● 10 Base-T Ethernet or 100 Base-TX Fast Ethernet ● CD-ROM drive ● CPU: Intel Pentium 1GHz or above ● Memory: 256MB or above ● VGA resolution: 800x600 or above ● Web browser: Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.0 or above Package Contents: ● One MPEG4 (Wireless) Internet CCD Camera ● One External Antenna (for wireless model) ● One Power Adapter ● One RJ-45 Ethernet Cable ● One Camera Stand ● This Quick Installation Guide ● One Installation CD-ROM Note: If any item contained is damaged or missing, please contact your local dealer immediately. 1 2 Hardware Installation Attaching the Camera Stand The Internet Camera comes with a camera stand which has a swivel ball screw head that can be attached to the camera’s screw hole on the top/bottom panel. Attach the camera stand to the camera and station it for your application. Attaching the Antenna (for wireless model) From the rear panel of the camera, screw the provided external Antenna into the antenna connector. Connecting the Ethernet Cable Plug an Ethernet cable into the network connector (RJ-45) located on the camera’s rear panel, and then connect it to the network. 2 Connecting the Power Supply Attach the power adaptor to the DC jack located on the camera’s rear panel, and then connect it to your local power supply. You can check the power On/off via the Power indicator. 3 3 Running the Setup Wizard The Setup Wizard will help you to install your camera easily and quickly. 1. Insert the Installation CD-ROM into your CD-ROM/DVD drive. Click Setup Wizard. 2. Click Next. 4 3. Click Yes. 4. Click Next. 5. Click Finish. 5 6.To run the Setup Wizard, click Start -> Programs -> Setup Wizard. 6 4 Using the Setup Wizard When you launch the Setup Wizard, the main window will appear as shown, and the camera list will be displayed. Control buttons The connected camera list The components on the Setup Wizard: Click Wizard to begin configuring the selected camera. Click Search allows you to search the connected camera again. Click Link to launch the web browser and connect the camera. 7 Click About to show the general information of the selected camera. Click Exit to close the Setup Wizard. Changing the Admin ID and Password By default settings, both of Admin ID and Password are “admin” (Case sensitive). For security consideration, it is recommended to change the Password immediately. When you launch Setup Wizard, it will search the camera automatically. Click the Wizard button. The camera’s IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway must correspond with your PC network settings. Therefore, there are two situations when you click the Wizard button. 1. The camera’s Network segment is the same as your PC. Click Next ( Step. OR ) to next OR 2. The camera’s Network 8 segment is different from your PC. You can change the camera’s IP address by using Setup Wizard even the camera is in another network segment. If Setup Wizard detects the cameras IP address’ are in different network segment, you will be asked to change the camera IP address. You can click Yes to accept the IP Address that Setup Wizard suggested OR Click No to manually set up the IP address. After IP Address is changed, the camera will be rebooted. 9 Click Wizard. The dialog window will ask you to enter the Admin ID and Password. Enter the default ID and Password Enter admin in both boxes and ). then click Next ( You can also change the Password via this Setup Wizard. The following steps are for wireless model ONLY. When you select Enable to use the camera’s wireless function, and then set up the related settings including Connection Mode, Network Name (SSID), Wireless Channel, Security Mode, and Authentication. Click Next ( ) to set up the Encryption Mode, Key Format, Default Key and Pre-shared Key. After completing, click Next ( ). 10 For wireless model ONLY This window displays the settings you set up. You can modify the ) to setting by clicking Back ( modify your settings. OR click Restart ( save all settings. ) to apply and The configurations are completed, and you will return to the main window. Click Link to start linking the camera. 11 5 Tips Software Information Click About to show the general information of the selected camera.
