The remote control should direct to the remote sensor which is located on the front panel of the device. If the remote control does not work, please try to adjust the direction angle and distance with the device. Obstacles between the remote control and the main unit can impact remote sensitiveness. If the remote control is in weak function, please try to replace the batteries. Extend the aerial as far as it can go. NOTE: The quality of the FM reception will be influenced by the positioning of the aerial. Standby mode Press STANDBY button on the front panel or on the remote control to switch the system intos tandby mode. Note: make sure that the unit is connected to the power source. Mode Selection Press SOURCE button on the front panel or USB (or CD/USB for MC CD 42e), BT, AUX, FM buttons on remote control to choose the mode you want. There are 4 modes in MS BT 26e: BT, USB, FM(tuner), AUX(audio) and there are 5 modes in MC CD 42e: BT, USB, FM(tuner), AUX(audio) and CD. Volume Control The volume knob is to control the volume. To increase the volume, adjust the knob to clock-wise direction. To decrease the volume, adjust the knob in anticlockwise direction. You can also adjust the volume by pressing VOL+, VOL- buttons on the remote control. Mute button If you press the MUTE button while playing, the sound output will be switched off. Press again the VOL+/- buttons to resume the previous volume level. Play/Pause During playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE to resume playback. Stop During playback, press the STOP play from the beginning. button once to pause playback. Press it again button once to stop playback. Press PLAY/PAUSE to Repeat Press REPEAT button to set repeat mode: repeat one, repeat all, repeat off. EQ Press EQ button to select the different sound fields: Eq-00 (Off ), Eq-01(Jazz), Eq-02(Rock), Eq-03(Classic), Eq-04(Pop), Eq-05(Live), Eq-06(Dance). Tone Press TONE button to adjust the volume, bass and treble. E.g. press TONE button to select the required item, then press VOL+/- buttons to adjust the effect of bass or treble. Previous and Next In play status, press or to play the previous or next track. Fast forward and Fast reverse In play status, press or to fast forward or fast reverse by speed x1, x2. Press or button to FAST FORWARD or FAST REVERSE: press once to fast at speed x1, press twice to fast at speed x2. Press a third time to resume to normal speed. 55 MS BT 26e/MC CD 42e CD Operation (only available in MC CD 42e) Press CD/USB button on the remote control to switch to CD mode. Press EJECT button and place the CD disc on DISC TRAY. The unit will automatically load the disc and start playing when it recognizes the disc. Playback operation: You can control playback by using buttons such as: , For more operations, please refer to Basic Operation. , , , etc. Random While playing CD disc, press RANDOM button to play the tracks/songs in a random order Program This function is available in stop mode while playing a CD disc. This function plays CD tracks in a programmed order. (a) Press STOP button while playing a CD disc. Press PROGRAM button and the display shows: Pr 0100 (b) Input the number of the song which you want to play first: e.g. input 04 and the fourth song will be played as the first song. When you finish entering the first order, it will turn to the next order automatically. (c) When you finish all progress, press PLAY/PAUSE to confirm, and it will play the songs by the programmed order. (d) To cancel programmed playing, press STOP button. Then the unit exits programming automatically. Now you can press PLAY/PAUSE button to restart playing the disc. 56 MS BT 26e/MC CD 42e USB Operation To listen to a USB device: 1. 2. 3. 4. Connect the device USB to the USB port on the front panel of the unit. Press the SOURCE button to cycle through and enter relevant mode. The unit will detect devices automatically. If the USB devices haven’t been connected, words “NO USB” will appear on the display. Then insert the USB device. After the device is found the player starts playing automatically. Playback operation: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. When the device is reading the USB, it automatically sorts all available files in numbers. You can select tracks by pressing Number buttons. Press PLAY/PAUSE button to start or pause playback. Press STOP button to stop playback. Press PLAY/PAUSE to start playback from the beginning. Press PREVIOUS /NEXT buttons to select the previous or next track. Use the MUTE button or VOLUME+/- buttons to control the volume. Press button to FAST FORWARD. Press once to fast forward at speed x1, press twice to fast forward at speed x2. Press a third time to resume to normal speed. Press button to FAST REVERSE. Press once to fast reverse at speed x1, press twice to fast reverse at speed x2. Press a third time to resume to normal speed. When all the tracks have played over, press the button to start the playback from the beginning. Note: 1. USB extension cable shall have a max. length of 0.25m. 2. Depending on the amount of data and media speed, it may take longer for system to read the contents of media device. In some cases, reading time may be as long as 60 seconds.This is not malfunction. 3. Depending on the content some files may not play or be displayed even when they are in a supported format. 4. The max. supported capacity of USB devices is 32GB. 5. Connect your USB device directly to the USB port of the unit. Using an extension cable is not recommended and may cause interference and failure of data transfer. 57 MS BT 26e/MC CD 42e External audio input operation (AUX IN) You can connect an external audio device to the unit to enjoy music via your unit. 1. Connect the external audio player ’s audio output with the AUX IN L/R sockets on the rear panel of the unit. 2. Switch the unit to aux in mode by pressing the AUX button on the remote control or SOURCE button on the front panel. 3. Start playback on the external device. Adjust the volume by using the main unit volume button (or remote control). 4. Turn off both devices before disconnecting them from the wall outlet. 5. Note: The connected external device cannot be controlled by remote control. You can only adjust the volume. If you can not hear any sound coming from the speakers, check the volume on the external device. 58 MS BT 26e/MC CD 42e Bluetooth Operation Pairing operation (to pair your Bluetooth devices) 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Press the BT button on the remote control or SOURCE button on the front panel to switch to Bluetooth mode. The blue indicator light will flash. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your device (e.g. mobile phone). Then place your device in Bluetooth search mode and it will start searching this unit. Select “BP MS BT 26e“ or “BP MC CD 42e“ from the list of found devices on the mobile phone (or music device). Select OK or YES to pair the unit with your mobile phone or music device. Enter 0000 for passkey (if prompted). After the unit pairs successfully, the Bluetooth indicator light start flashing steadily. Playback Operation Playback is controlled by the buttons on the front panel of the unit and by the remote control such as VOL+/-, , , and . To disconnect and pair with another device 1. 2. Turn off the Bluetooth function on your device to disconnect it with the unit. The unit will enter the Bluetooth pairing status automatically with the new device. In the pairing status, follow the steps 2-5 of PAIR OPERATION section to connect another Bluetooth device. Phone call while playing music Music will stop automatically if a phone call is coming while playing music from the mobile phone.When the call ends, it depends on the setting of your phone whether the current track will resume playback or not. Note: Some devices, such as an iPhone, connect immediately after pairing, some may take longer to connect. The unit can only be connected and playing content from one device at a time. To connect to a different paired device, you have to turn off Bluetooth function or unpair from the currently paired device, and connect manually to the other device. You can select the previous or next stations by pressing the or buttons. You can also select stations by NUMBER buttons on the remote control. Press F (Frequency) button on the remote control to select frequency. E.g. if you want to listen to the 88.9 MHz, press F button first, then press number buttons 8, 8, 9, 0 to enter the selected frequency. To save stations: 1.
