Monitor Stack Technical Specification
A Monitor Stack is an array of flat screens and other status indicators organised to provide an accurate visual representation of the work flow of any given process.
Mode-AL design and manufacture Monitor Stacks to their client’s exact requirements. Each stack is individually fabricated to accommodate the required elements.
Each screen face is aligned within 1.0 mm of its adjacent screen, spacing between the screens is 1 mm to the left and right and 6 mm vertically.
All Monitor Stacks are manufactured from extruded aluminium and are anodised natural (silver) as standard. The stack can be powder coated to any RAL colour as an optional extra.
The modular design of the stack enables a quick turn around from approved drawings to delivery.
All Monitor Stacks can be reconfigured or extended on site with little or no disruption to the existing installation.

Legs - (11) All legs are factory set with the beam mounting blocks to aid quick on-site assembly. If required all beams heights can be adjusted on site for fine tuning, To provide cable access, all legs they have either removable covers or removable sections, the end legs of each stack have complete removable covers The mid legs have removable sections. Cable access/egress holes (20) are cut into the legs at required positions to gain access to the cable trays. Manufactured from extruded aluminium and anodised natural (silver) as standard, the legs can be powder coated to any RAL colour required. Dims 18 D x 80 W and up to 5800 H mm Feet - (13) The standard foot is manufactured from extruded aluminium and has levelling feet with ±5mm of adjustment. Dims 700 D x 80 W x 68 H mm Under floor mountings - (9) for bolting down to concrete slabs under a raised floor supplied with bezel (10) for masking cut hole in floor tile. The under floor shoe is manufactured from steel and powder coated black. The beams are manufactured from extruded aluminium and anodised natural (silver) as standard. The beams can be powder coated to any RAL colour required. Available in 3 section sizes: 60x30 max length 2.5m - 120x30 max length 3.2m - 180x30 max length 3.2m Screen Mountings - (2, 6, 16 & 24) Mode-AL screen mounts are specifically designed to work with our monitor stack system, requiring only 5mm to lift off the screen. This enables the screens to be closely packed together whilst still providing access for maintenance. All screen brackets are manufactured from steel and powder coated black. Articulating screen arms – (19 & 24) Extrusion mount arm (19). Designed to fit at any position on the monitor stack legs these Screen arms allow the Screens to be positioned more freely and a simple way of adding additional screens to an existing monitor stack. Manufactured from machined aluminium natural (silver) anodised. Pole mount arm - (24). Designed to fit at any position on the monitor stack beams these speaker arms allow the speakers to be positioned more freely and a simple way of adding additional screens to an existing monitor stack. Manufactured from machined aluminium natural (silver) anodised. UMD - (12 & 14) Under Monitor Display mounts. Available in two types individual (12) and bank (14). The individual mount is manufactured to be exactly the same width as the screen it is attached to and 50 mm high. The bank UMD mount will sit under an array of screens and is attached to the monitor stack. All screen UMD mounts are manufactured from steel and powder coated black. Cable Trays - (20) Cable trays can be mounted horizontally as shown or vertically behind the beams. Manufactured from aluminium and powder coated black. Cable trays are available in the following sizes 50, 75, 100 & 150 mm. Tie Backs - (4) required if the height of the stack exceeds 2.3m or the foot size is reduced. Manufactured from aluminium and anodised natural (silver).
Speaker mounts - (8, 15, 19 & 24) available in 4 types. End Shelf (8). End speaker shelves are for the ends of the stack and protrude out from the end legs. Shelves are available in 8 different sizes to accommodate most manufacturers. Manufactured from steel powder coated black for the support bracket, and “Compact” a solid core high pressure structural laminate. Centre shelf (15). Centre speaker shelf can be mounted above or below the stack. Shelves are available in 8 different sizes to accommodate most manufacturers. Origin of manufacture All monitor stacks are designed and manufactured in our UK and US plants to order. Each stack is individually designed to suit your requirements exactly. As over 90% of the monitor stack is aluminium this can be either locally recycled or returned to Mode-AL for full recycling.

Clock mounts – (1 & 7) Centre clock mount (1) designed to either protrude above or drop below the array of screens, Available for all broadcast clocks, on air lights etc. Manufactured from aluminium and comes with a MDF backing plate for the clock for easy attachment. Dimensions as required. End clock mount (7) designed to be mounted on the end legs of the Monitor Stack can be rotated to desired angle.
