An immediate and precise response to throttle inputs is instantly noticeable. In addition, constant communication with the TechStar CVT transmission allows desired ground speeds to be maintained. • W et cylinder liners and charge air cooling provide more effective cooling at the top of the cylinder, where it matters most. • C ylinder head bolts are located in a circular pattern around the top of each cylinder for greater strength. • P iston connecting rods are balanced individually for smoother operation and prolonged working life. • Latest technology in cross-flow design includes cast inlet channels and combustion chambers to ensure optimum combustion. • B osch electronic fuel injection pump provides quick and precise response to throttle movements. • Viscous fan drive houses an internal clutch that responds to engine temperature for efficient, yet economical engine cooling. • M id-support of the cylinder liners reduces vibration by 75 per cent, reducing engine noise and wear on the cylinders and cylinder liners. 04 Proven to be the best – the TechStar CVT transmission When engaged, the TechStar CVT transmission automatically combines with Power Management to match engine speed with transmission ratio for unequalled performance and efficiency. With more than 15 years of research and development and over 100,000 CVT transmissions in smooth operation around the world, the CVT has earned its position as the industry leader. This is why: • T he least number of moving parts, resulting in longer life, higher residual value and minimal downtime. • S eparate transmission oil reservoir, isolated from the hydraulic system contact, minimises the possibility of contamination from implements. • S ervice-friendly design allows technicians to analyse the system easily, using the AGCO Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT). • A simple press of a button enables four cruise speeds to be set – two in each range. • E asy access to speeds normally between conventional gear ranges. No shifting, no pauses and instant traction – just seamless speed control, all the way from creep to transport. 05 06 07 CHOOSE BETWEEN MODES OF OPERATION In addition to straightforward manual use, there’s a choice of alternatives to provide operators with ultimate flexibility. Pedal mode Power Management mode Go hands-free, simply by flicking a switch on the TMC Armrest. Engine speed and transmission ratio are then automatically adjusted to manage the appropriate ground speed. When activated, engine and transmission automatically find the optimum settings for the job in hand. The engine automatically throttles up or down in line with how much power is required, saving fuel, reducing engine noise and prolonging service life. It has the added benefit of allowing the operator to concentrate on the immediate task, rather than making engine and gear adjustments. Forager mode Ideal for PTO tasks, providing the ability to maintain a specific engine speed while using the foot pedal to control ground speed. Simple, multi function, LEFT-HAND POWER DIRECTION LEVER 1. NEUTRAL 2. DE-CLUTCH 3. FORWARD DRIVE 4. REVERSE DRIVE 5. CHANGE UP RATIO 6. CHANGE DOWN RATIO 2 5 6 2 6 3 4 5 1 08 09 THE SPEED YOU NEED The TechStar CVT allows two field cruise speeds to be pre-set in each of the two speed ranges. Just flick the switch on the SV1, or hold it down until the desired speed appears on the digital display, Similarly, on the SV2, hold it down until the selected speed is indicated. Speeds can be set for specific tasks – and, once set, a speed can be recalled simply by pushing a button. The operator also has the unique ability to couple A and B engine speed settings with the ground speed memory system. This allows both engine speed and transmission ground speed to be adjusted using the SV1 and SV2 buttons. 10 MASSIVE STRENGTH High horsepower combined with demanding workloads and ground conditions call for a stronger, tougher tractor. Day in and day out, Challenger MT600D Series machines deliver without fail, thanks to unrivalled build quality, rigidity and strength. Rugged Frame A pair of robust chassis rails – specially contoured to accommodate tight turns – extend from the front mounting all the way to a mounting plate behind the engine. Providing extra strength and support, they also serve as a strong mounting for a front-end loader, front-mounted implements, fertiliser tanks and attachments. Front axle strength Standard equipment is simply stronger and heavier. Extra-large final drives enable the axle to handle the heaviest draught loads and weights with ease, while the 55° steering angle makes headland turns precise and accomplished. OptiRide front suspension for better traction The OptiRide front axle suspension applies more power to the ground and provides front linkage opportunities. Coupled with the OptiRide Plus cab suspension system, it can easily reduce vibration by 50 per cent or more. Integrated front linkage (ILS) Designed specifically for the MT600D Series, this integrated front linkage fits directly onto the front of the chassis rail. With lower arms constructed as a single piece casting, the lift capacity exceeds 5.0 tonnes. 11 09 12 ACHIEVE MORE WITH EASE A powerful hydraulic system, versatile PTO and high-capacity three-point hitch complement the massive pulling power of the MT600D Series. High-Performance Hydraulics Adaptable PTO Systems A closed-centre, pressure- and flow-compensated hydraulic system provides flow to multiple functions at up to 175l/min and 2,900 psi (200 bar). A power-beyond circuit and load sensing line are also available, while a fifth and sixth spool valve are additional options. PTO speed is displayed digitally on the dashboard for precise control of PTO-driven implements. The hydraulically actuated system facilitates smooth modulation and system protection. An Economy PTO system allows the engine speed to be reduced by 18.5 per cent to 1,605 rpm in economy mode, while maintaining full 1,000 PTO shaft speed, so lowering fuel consumption. Customise Hydraulic Settings Using the touch keys and rotary dial on the TMC display, the operator can electronically enable or disable ‘float’ and accurately set ram extension/ retraction, flow rates and kick-out timing. 13 Heavy-duty Rear Linkage… Standard amenities on both models include an electronic three-point hitch with a maximum lift capacity of 12,000kg, four remote hydraulic outlets and a choice of PTO systems to suit individual operations. Options include a front three-point hitch and up to six rear and two front remotes. …and Smooth Transport As mounted equipment is being moved over roads or across the headland in the raised position, the Active Transport Control (ATC) hydraulic cylinders automatically absorb the shocks that can negatively impact ride quality and stability. 14 Cab & Tractor Management Centre The intuitive and ergonomic design of the Tractor Management Centre (TMC) places all key functions – including six hydraulic control valves – at the operators’ fingertips. One-Touch™ Does It All With the touch of a button on the transmission controller, the One-Touch system uses the ISOBUS network to record and execute a host of repeated functions. These include changing ground speed, accelerating or decelerating the engine, raising and lowering the three-point hitch, engaging and disengaging the PTO and raising/ lowering implements. Multiple Memory Functions The operator will find it easy and straightforward to input memory functions for up to eight separate implements, so hydraulic settings, engine and ground speed pre-sets, and One-Touch sequences can be recalled quickly. 15 Peak Performance Levels Working with the spool valve management system, ‘trailed implement control’ automatically adjusts the depth of sensor-equipped trailed implements to minimise wheel-slip and ensure that field travel speed and engine performance are optimised. Heating and Ventilation Air conditioning and climate control are both available. A number of different outlets around the cab ensure plenty of fresh air distribution for de-misting in addition to heating and ventilation. 16 THE COMPLETE STEERING SOLUTION The AGI-3 Positioning System can be upgraded to OmniSTAR. How AGCOMMAND works Benefits Optimum Performance The AGCOMMAND system collects a machine’s location and performance data every 60 seconds (in the Standard Plus package) or every 10 seconds in the Advanced version. This data is then transmitted via a GPRS cellular modem. Access to the recorded data is obtained by logging into a secure and easy-to-use website. This allows users to see where machines are, where they have been and the data collected at each interval. Using AGCOMMAND, farmers, managers and contractors will be able to: AGCOMMAND organises information and creates detailed reports that track engine hours, fuel consumption, operator efficiency and field-specific machine data. By gathering and summarising this information, the system promotes analysis and accountability to help optimise performance. Maintenance AGCOMMAND makes machine maintenance easier to plan and track. Service alerts can be set at the appropriate intervals, with dealerships also being looped in to enable faster service response times. • See the actual location and condition of machines • Follow and enhance the productivity of individual machines • Minimise the risk of machine theft • Receive notice of impending maintenance requirements Geo-fencing and logistics All this information will help to analyse vehicle efficiency, maximise productivity and therefore boost profitability. The Universal Installation Kit enables the AGCOMMAND system to be fitted to any fleet machine, regardless of brand. Geo-fences, or virtual GPS boundaries, can be created to follow when machines enter or leave designated areas. Tracking vehicle movements enables the user to foresee routine requirements, such as refuelling. The system plots a machine’s exact position on the map, so that it can be quickly located, reducing downtime. 20 21 22 MT600D Smart Machines. Serious Results.
