M T P - M i n i T w i s t e d Pa i r S e r i e s MTP AV Series MTP - Mini Twisted Pair Transmitters & Receivers for Composite Video, S-Video, and Audio Series Features DESCRIPTION • Transmit and receive A/V signals 1,000 feet (300 meters) or more over a single CAT 5, 5e, or 6 cable Extron MTP AV Series transmitters and receivers are part of the VersaTools ® family of economical, compact products designed in a one-eighth rack width enclosure for easy integration into new and existing A/V environments. The transmitters and receivers can be used with any CAT 5, 5e, or 6 cable or with Extron Enhanced Skew-Free™ A/V UTP cable for cable runs of 1,000 feet (300 meters) or more. MTPs are compact, so they can fit just about anywhere: in racks, under tables and desktops, or next to a display. Transmitters are also available in a double space AAP - Architectural Adapter Plate size and 45 mm European models. • Models available for composite video or S-video - with or without audio • Audio models are configurable for mono or stereo • Compatible with MTP Series switchers, matrix switchers, and distribution amplifiers • Compatible with NTSC, PAL, and SECAM • Rack-mountable, 1U, one-eighth rack width, metal enclosure, double space AAP, or 45 mm model • Versatile mounting options • LED power indicators on front and rear; front only on AAP models • Remote power capability Models that accept audio can be configured for mono or stereo audio. When the transmitters and receivers are configured for mono audio, which is the default setting, they are fully compatible with the entire line of MTP Series switchers, matrix switchers, and distribution amplifiers. • External universal power supply included, replacement part # 70-775-01  —  Provides worldwide power compatibility. IN PU All MTP receivers are powered products and provide active balanced transmissions for both video and audio. The sharpness adjustment provides variable high frequency video equalization to compensate for different cable lengths. The gain adjustment compensates for overall signal level loss occurring in lengthy cable runs. There are also front and back LED power indicators for easy troubleshooting.
