Buttons—Provides access to menu options displayed on the LCD. 2 Set the Multi Tuner V2 in an A/V rack or another installation location. Select Dial—Scroll through list items and options displayed on the LCD or make selections. About the Main Menu When you first power up the Multi Tuner V2, the following System Status screen appears momentarily (similar to the one on the right). The System Status screen is then replaced by the Multi Tuner V2 main menu (shown in the screen to the right). • Tun1—Choose this to manually change a setting on Tuner 1, an AM/FM Tuner. Tun2—Choose this to manually change a setting on Tuner 2, an AM/FM Tuner. XM—Displays only when C4-XMOD is used. Choose this to manually change a setting on the XM Tuner. Setup—Choose this to access the Settings menu. • • • Activate the XM Satellite Radio Service Tuners upgraded with the XM Module Kit require a monthly subscription to the XM Satellite Radio service in order to receive XM radio channels. To subscribe and activate these services: 1 Use the Select Dial to tune the XM tuner to channel 0 and record the XM Radio ID (SDARS ID) that displays in the LCD window. 2 Contact XM Satellite Radio Inc. to subscribe to the XM radio service (see the next section for details). When instructed to do so by XM Satellite Radio Inc., tune the XM tuner to Channel 1 for about 20 minutes. Listen to Satellite Radio Set LCD Display Preferences 1 At the main menu, choose Setup. The Settings menu displays with LCD selected (as shown) Satellite Radio delivers an incredible variety of commercial-free music including Pop, Rock, Country, R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Classical and much more, plus coverage of all the top professional and college sports, including play-by-play and expert sports talk and analysis. You also get exclusive entertainment, talk, comedy, family programming, local traffic and weather and news from your most trusted sources. 2 Press the Select Dial. To listen to Satellite Radio on your Satellite-Ready receiver, you’ll need to add either a Sirius or XM Satellite Radio tuner (sold separately). Satellite Radio is available to residents of the United States (except Alaska and Hawaii), Puerto Rico, and Canada. The LCD menu displays. • Brightness—Supported range: 0 to 100 • Contrast—Supported range: 0 to 100 • Backlight (sec)—Supported settings are: • OFF (Always Off) • 5 to 90 seconds (default is 10 seconds) • ON (Always On) Any button push or dial push or turn will turn on the LCD Backlight unless OFF is set. If a specific time is set, this tells the Backlight how long to wait before turning off. If ON is set, the Backlight will remain on. Whether you purchase a Sirius or XM tuner, you’ll need to activate and subscribe to the service to listen to Satellite Radio. Easy-to-follow installation and setup instructions are provided with the satellite tuners. Whichever service you choose, there are a variety of programming packages available, including the option of adding “The Best of Sirius” programming to your XM tuner or “The Best of XM” programming to your Sirius tuner, enabling you to enjoy the most popular programming among both services. The “Best of” packages are not available to Sirius Canada or XM Canada subscribers at this time. Family friendly packages are also available to restrict channels that feature mature programming.
