MuseTM Quick Start Cards Cleaning and Start up (This is a quick start guide, refer to User Guide Cleaning and Maintenance chapter for more information) 1. Fill the cleaning solution vial with ICF. Check waste vial is empty then and add 10mls bleach and reset fluid levels by selecting clean from the screen of any assay and clicking on reset fluid levels. 2. Click complete system clean from the home screen. The cleaning screen appears. Click run complete clean. 3. Load a tube of ICF and select run. 4. When the ICF is complete, load a fresh DI H20 and select run. 5. Leave the tube of DI water loaded and select finish to return to main menu. If needed fill the cleaning solution vial with ICF. Check waste vial is empty then and add 10mls bleach and reset fluid levels by selecting clean from the screen of any assay and clicking on reset fluid levels. 2. Select clean from any assay screen. 3. Select quick clean. Load a tube of 10% bleach and select clean. Repeat x 2. 4. Click complete system clean from the home screen. The cleaning screen appears. Click run complete clean. 3. Load a tube of ICF and select run. 4. When the ICF is complete, load a fresh DI H20 and select run. 5. Leave the tube of DI water loaded and select finish to return to main menu. Performing MuseTM System Check (This is a quick start guide refer to user guide system check chapter for more information) 1. Perform full system clean, refer to quick start card for cleaning and start up. 2. Select System check from the home screen, under essential tools. 3. Warm beads to room temperature and mix gently ensuring not to introduce bubbles but also ensuring mixed well enough, (may need gentle vortex). Prepare a 1 in 20 dilution. 4. Select run system check. 5. Enter bead lot number and bead expiration date and check code. Select next. 6. Mix the beads and select run 7. The progress bar provides an indication to the status of the acquisition, repeat replicates upon prompting. 8. Upon completion the system displays a Pass/Fail result and particles/ml (refer to user guide for troubleshooting). 9. Dock a tube of DI water on the system
