My CD player won’t play my CD’s any longer Article Number: 401 | Rating: 1/5 from 5 votes | Last Updated: Fri, Apr 3, 2015 at 7:13 AM First, check the wire connections for the interface cable and transformer to make certain they are secure and have proper termination. Next, check to see if your CD is inserted in the correct "label up" position. Next, we will do a reset on the master. OLDER STYLE PLAYERS/MASTERS If the master is an mc302, mc902, mc602, or mc702, you need to remove the large front cover by pulling on the left and right side outwards to reveal the expose circuit board and clock display. Locate the 4 solder tip points that are grouped in a small ½" inch square and positioned at the bottom right hand corner on the circuit board on the front face. Cover all 4 solder points with your finger tip for 5 seconds. Now try and press the "play button "on your cd player to see if it will play your CD’s once more. DMC1CD with a DMC1 or DMC3-4 If your master is a DMC1 or DMC3-4,you will do a reset by inserting a paperclip into the reset hole located behind the door. To perform the 5-second reset, follow these steps: 1. Make sure the master is powered on and the source says "CD". 2. Get a small paper clip and straighten it out. This must be a non-plastic, small one, in order to fit into the reset pinhole. 3. Open the door on the left side of the master. Insert the paper clip into the small pin hole just to the left of the #5 room station switch (on a DMC1) or to the right of the #9 switch (for a DMC3-4). It will go in about 1-1/2 inches before making contact. 4. Maintain pressure on the reset button for a minimum of 5 seconds, regardless of what you see on the display of the master.
5. When you pull the paper clip out, you should see the time flashing on the display screen of the master. If so, press the "Time" button seven (7) times in order to get the display to come on solid. If the time is not flashing, repeat steps 3 and 4. 6. Turn the master back on and change source to "CD". 7. Try the CD player again. By performing all of these steps, your cd player should start working again. If not, you may want to contact a local dealer and ask them for assistance.
