My wiimote keeps turning off 1-3...
LOXXI 1 posts since Feb 9, 2016
I have purchased a new, bigger sensor, thinking that was the problem. Then, just to be sure, I traded the sensor I purchased for another one, and it still unsyncs. I now have a new wiimote, and there is still a problem. I have tried unsyncing-is it normal that there are no onscreen notifications?-all wiimotes, the resyncing. I have replaced battaries, and I have let the wiimote without power. I have also tried unplugging the wii itself, doing the same thing, and still, nothing. Is the problem in my wii itself? I think I have this same problem.
I press a button, the wiimote turns on, it gets a sync, and if I'm lucky, I can even move the pointer for a split second, then it turns off/unsyncs? again.
The time interval in which the wiimote remains active appears to be random, but is never more than just a couple of seconds, so I basically can't use it at all.
All I know is that I haven't used my wii in quite some time.

Please, ... place your Wii Remote, on a horizontally surface "face up or down" for some seconds. it will re-calibrate the Wii Remote MotionPlus. This work with "Wii MotionPlus", with Wii and Wii Mini And Wii U Consoles.

The use of an infrared sensor to detect position can cause some detection problems when other infrared sources are around, such as incandescent light bulbs or candles. This can be easily alleviated by using fluorescent lights around the Wii, which emit little to no infrared light. Innovative users have used other sources of IR light as Sensor Bar substitutes such as a pair of flashlights and a pair of candles. Such substitutes for the Sensor Bar illustrate the fact that a pair of non-moving lights provide continuous calibration of the direction that the Wii Remote is pointing and its physical location relative to the light sources. There is no way to calibrate the position of the cursor relative to where the user is pointing the controller without the two stable reference sources of light provided by the Sensor Bar or substitutes. Third-party wireless sensor bars have also been released, which have been popular with users of Wii emulators since the official Sensor Bar utilizes a proprietary connector to connect to the Wii console.

Sadly, none of this calibration stuff solves the issue, nor does any of the resyncing procedures I have tried so far.
The problem doesn't seem to be with the syncing anyways, sometimes my wiimotes sync just fine for about a second. The real problem appears to be that they simply keep turning themselves off, no matter the battery charge.

I've had this problem before with third party brand remotes. Try getting a remote from the nintendo website. Hope this helps
