Thank you for purchasing the MyChild Pinto. Please read the instructions and warnings carefully before use to ensure safe and satisfactory operation of this product. Your child’s safety is your responsibility. If you have a query with this product or require replacement parts, please contact your MyChild retailer. Lay out the parts on a soft level surface and compare to the part/fixings checklist below. Do not discard any packaging until you are sure that you have all the parts. Keep children clear during assembly as pack contains parts and plastic bags which may present a choking or entrapment hazard.

NOTE: remove child from stroller and lock the brake so the stroller is secure. G. Push slider button G.1 to the left, then squeeze the large lever G.2. Keep pressure on the large lever G.2, and let go of the slider G1. H. While you are still pressing the large lever G.2, pull up safety lock H with two fingers. Push down on the handle to fold stroller. Fold the handle down until the carrying latch automatically engages. You should hear it ‘CLICK’ into place.

(+Q carrycot is optional extra) To attach the seat, carrycot or the infant carrier to the stroller frame place onto the two adapters found on each side of the chassis, make sure both locks click into place. P. Pull the silver release levers on the adaptors to take out the seat, carrycot or the infant carrier. IMPORTANT NOTE: before putting a child inside - lift the pushchair up by the seat unit/ carrycot/ carseat to ensure it is firmly connected to the chassis.

To fit the seat in parent facing mode, hold the seat unit so that it is facing the handle. Locate the seat joints above the adaptors and push the seat downwards until it CLICKS into place.

To remove the seat, grip the seat unit on both sides. Use your forefinger to lift the release button on the outside of the adaptor. Lift the seat unit off the adaptors.

To fit the seat in forward facing mode, hold the seat unit so that it is facing forward. Locate the seat joints above the adaptors and push the seat downwards until it CLICKS into place.
WARNING: never remove the seat unit when a child is in the seat. Always remove your child before turning the seat unit around. ATTENTION: lift up the seat unit to ensure it is firmly connected to the adaptors.

Operating the harness

T.1 Undo the harness as shown in the section above, operating the harness. T.2 The shoulder straps can be adjusted by locating the buckle underneath the back of the seat unit as shown. Twist the buckle and feed though the harness button hole.
T.3 Once the buckle is fully out of the hole, reposition into the desired height setting and thread the buckle back through so it is underneath the seat unit.
T.4 To ensure the strap is fitted correctly and secure, pull the strap up sharply. Warning: the shoulder straps can be completely removed from the stroller when adjusting the position. Please ensure it is secure before use. Fitting the footmuff U.1

U.1 - Unclip the harness. See section T. U.2 - Thread the harness straps through the back of the footmuffs button holes. Pull the harness straps through and check the buckle locks into postion. Note: please make sure the harness shoulder straps are placed through the same height holes.

Safety Information when using the seat unit and car seat with the pushchair chassis This seat unit is suitable for children from 6months to 15kg. Warning: to avoid injury ensure that your child is kept away when unfolding and folding this product. Warning: do not let your child play with this product. Warning: it may be dangerous to leave your child unattended Warning: always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist belt Warning: parcels, accessories and other items (eg hand bags, shopping bags, etc) that are placed on the pushchair may cause the unit to become unstable Warning: do not lift and carry the pushchair while open with a child in it Warning: do not use the pushchair on steep slopes, stairs, escalators, beaches, mud, etc Warning: check that the pram body or seat unit attachment devices are correctly engaged before use Warning: do not allow your child to climb unassisted into the pushchair Warning: use the D rings provided for the attachment of a separate safety harness approved to BS6634 Warning: never leave rain covers, hoods and aprons on indoors and in hot weather Warning: do not use replacement parts or accessories other than those approved by manufacturer or retailer Warning: the basket weight must not exceed 2kg Warning: always apply the brakes when the pushchair is stationary Warning: taking children up or down stairs, escalators, steps, steep slopes and muddy/rough terrain could be dangerous and should not be attempted. Any resulting damage will not be covered under the warranty. Remove your child from the pushchair and fold up for easy carrying to negotiate such hazards, or simply avoid them. Warning: do not allow children to play with the stroller Warning: never assume a driver can see you or your child Warning: if your stroller is to be used by someone unfamiliar with it, e.g grandparents then show them how it works before letting them use it Warning: this pushchair is not suitable for running or skating. Warning: hold onto your stroller when close to moving vehicles and trains as the draught from the vehicles may move the stroller even with the brakes on.
Care and maintenance: Fabrics and chassis can be cleaned with non-abrasive cloth and mild detergent. Do not use bleach or use strong detergents. Inspect parts regularly. Contact retailer or manufacturer for servicing.

Safety advice when using the car seat in a vehicle Warning: the correct fitting of the car seat belt (following the red guide markings) is of vital importance for the safety of your child. See the labels on the seat itself. Warning: keep these instructions with the seat for future reference. Warning: never leave your child unattended. Warning: NEVER use the child seat on a passenger seat that is fitted with a front airbag. THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS. - The product is only safe if it is used in strict accordance with these instructions. - The product must only be used on forward facing passenger seats which are fitted with automatic. 3-point safety belt which are approved to ECE R16 or equivalent. - The product may be used on a front or rear passenger seat but we recommend that it is fitted on the rear passenger seat. - The product must be replaced if it is involved in an accident as it may have unseen damage. - Do not use this product second hand as you do not know its history. - Ensure that all other passengers, luggage and loose objects are properly secured. - Do not lubricate any of the moving parts. - It is recommended that the car seat should not be used more than 5 years from the date of production the product may deteriorate due to, for example, ageing of the plastic. - Never use the child seat without the covers. Only covers approved by the manufacturer may be used. - The child seat must be secured with the car seat belt when not in use. - Ensure that the seat is not damaged by heavy objects or being caught in the car door. - Never make unauthorised alterations to the product. - Child seat parts may become hot in direct sunlight. Cover with sheet to prevent this. - Most accidents occur on short trips, so do not be tempted to avoid using the seat simply because you are not travelling very far. - Do not leave the child in the seat for long periods of time. Take regular breaks on long journeys. - Set a good example by always wearing a seatbelt yourself. - Make sure that your child never plays with the buckle. Warning: failure to follow each of the following instructions can result in your child striking the vehicle’s interior during a sudden stop or crash. Warning: take care that the straps holding the restraint to the vehicle, are as tight as possible. Make sure that the straps restraining the child are adjusted to the child’s body and the straps are not twisted. Warning: it is important that the lap part of the harness belt system is worn low down, so that the pelvis is firmly engaged. Warning: the child restraint system MUST BE CHANGED after it has suffered from a violent impact in an accident. Car seat belt The product must only be used with a 3-point car seat belt that has been approved to ECE R16 or equivalent. NEVER use a 2-point seatbelt.Your child seat can be fitted in most cars. However, some cars are designed so that proper installation is not possible. In this case, try another seat. Notice 1. The child car seat must only be used in vehicles which are fitted with a three point seat belt system that has been approved by regulation ECE-16 or similar. 2. A correct fit is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has declared in the vehicle handbook that the vehicle is capable of accepting a‘Universal’ child restraint for this group. 3. The child carseat is a ‘Universal’ child restraint; it conforms to regulation ECE R44/04 for general use in vehicles. It will fit most, but not all vehicle seats. 4. This child seat has been declared ‘Universal’ under more stringent conditions than those applied to earlier designs, which do not carry the ‘Universal’ mark. 5. Child car seats canmark vehicle seat upholstery. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damage or marking to vehicle seats. 6. Never use rearward facing child seat on a passenger seat with an active airbag. 7. If in doubt, consult manufacturer or the retailer.

Car seat travelling advice In order to maximise the protection that the seat can give your child, please adjust the harness so that it fits snugly and make sure that the seat is fitted correctly. Research shows that correct installation is the most important factor in car seat safety. Please take the time to read the instruction manual care fully. Our product offers maximum protection when it is used in accordance with the instructions.If you have any questions concerning the use of the product please do not hesitate to contact us. - This child seat is designed for use for children whose weight is 13kg or less and whose heights are 66cm (26 inches) or less. - This child seat must only be used rear facing position, and must NEVER be used forward facing. For maximum protection, the centre rear seat position is recommended as the safest position in most vehicles for installing a child restraint. (Only if the vehicle seat is fitted with a 3-point adult belt). - Your child seat should not be purchased or sold as a second hand item. - Remove child out of the car as first priority in an accident. - While travelling it is recommended that any luggage or other objects liable to cause injuries in the event of a collision shall be properly secured. - Do not use your child seat on a vehicle seat with lap belts only. - Your child seat should be securely belted to the vehicle, even when unoccupied because in a crash an unsecured child seat may injure other passengers. - Please take a rest every two hours if you are travelling with a baby in the car seat. - Please check the car seat condition if you are going to travel a long distance with a child. - Please put all excess luggage into the boot of your car if you are going to travel with a baby, because loose items may hurt a baby when travelling on unstable roads or because they move suddenly when braking. - Please always check the car seat before you place a baby into it. - Please get in touch with the dealer if anything breaks on the car seat. Only the manufacturer or an authorised agent may do repairs. DON’T try and fix the car seat by yourself. It might be damaged or cause more damage. - Always check the buckle hole before you buckle up as it may contain crumbs or obstructions that prevent a secure lock. - Keep your car seat out of reach of children when not in use. - Please keep the PE bag out of the reach of children when unpacking the car seat. - NEVER place the car seat on a seat where an air bag is active. - Do not modify the car seat.
Airbag warning
! Extreme Danger ! Do not use a rear facing car seat on a front passenger seat where a passenger side air bag is fitted. The air bag inflates rapidly and can throw a rear-facing child seat into the back of a passenger seat with great force, which can injure a child. Cleaning instructions - For quick cleanups, simply blot the desired area with a mild soap solution using a damp sponge and cool water. Clean your car seat base with a mild soap solution and cool water. Never use household detergents they can weaken plastic components. - Harness straps are only surface washable with a damp cloth and a mild soap solution. DO NOT! machine wash or use hot water to wash.

Face the seat: push the red button each side of the handle, rotate and release the red button to desired position until you hear a click. There are three positions available. See the picture. A.1. carrying/fitting position, make sure handle is locked. A.2. Rocker - keep away from the edge of surfaces e.g. tables. A.3. Feeding position. NEVER place the car seat on a soft surface e.g. cushion, mattress, pillow etc, due to risk of suffocation if car seat tips over. Never leave a child unattended. B.1. To remove the headhugger, undo the harness and remove the chest pads by sliding them down the harness. Thread the harness straps through the button holes at the base of the head hugger from front to back and remove. Replace chest pads if required and fasten harness. To fit the head hugger, undo the harness and remove the chest pads, thread the harness straps through the head hugger button holes from the back to the front, replace chest pads and fasten harness. B.2.The insert cushion is designed to give newborn and smaller babies extra support. To remove the cushion, undo the harness and take the cushion out. To fit the cushion, undo the harness and place the cushion in the car seat so that the curved cut-out area sits just behind the crotch pad.

C.1. This car seat has 2 sets of slots. Select the most suitable slots according to the child’s weight. The shoulder harness straps should emerge from the backrest level with (or slightly above) the child’s shoulders. C.2. To change the harness strap position, undo the harness straps and remove chest pad by sliding it down the shoulder strap. Pull through the belt slots in the back of the car seat and re-thread them through the desired slots. NOTE: Make sure the harness straps are set at equal heights before using the car seat.

WARNING: Do NOT fit the car seat were an active air bag is fitted. NOTE: Only fit the car seat using a 3 point seat belt.

D. Choose a seat suitable for fitting the car seat to. See section above. E. Pull the seat belt straps so there is a lot of slack allowing you to wrap it around the car seat. This will make it easier to thread through the correct mounting points F. Fit the lap belt across the car seat first by sliding the belt under the two side mouldings

G. Once the lap belt is secure wrap the shoulder belt around the back of the car seat and attach it into the clip (see G.1) Make sure all the slack is out of the shoulder belt (see G.2) H. Once the seat belts are in their correct mounting points make sure the seat belt buckle is secure and there are no twists in the belt. NOTE: Pull front to back and left to right to check for secure installation. NOTE: Vehicle MUST be on level ground and child seated when levelling.

NOTE: If the vehicle seat belt buckle is above the top edge of the child seat then this car seat is not suitable for the vehicle (this is called ‘buckle crunch’ and can cause the vehicle seat belt to come undone in an accident).

Note: a new born baby will need extra support around the head and body. Please don't remove the cushion if you are going to use it for your newborn baby or baby less than 7 months old.

J2 - Unbuckle the harness and move the shoulder straps apart. J1 - Press the belt adjuster button and pull on the shoulder harness straps to create slack. DO NOT pull on the shoulder pads as these are fixed.

J5 J6 J6 - Pull the harness adjuster strap to secure the harness around the child.
J5 - Buckle up the harness. Ensure harness buckle is firmly clicked into place.
J4 - Place the shoulder harness over the shoulders.
Note: do not place your child in a sleeping bag, blanket or other bulky wrapping before putting the child in the restraint. The shoulder straps will not fit snugly and the child will not be safe.

J7 J7 - The harness should allow 2 finger-widths of space. This is the ideal tightness. Note: check that the buckle is secured by attempting to pull the above and below part to remove the connectors.
J8 - To release harness: Press the red button on the buckle and pull out the shoulder harness.
Removing the car seat 1. Press the red release button on buckle, unfasten the buckle connector A&B. 2. Lift up the harness straps and lay them flat on the back of child seat. 3. Take your child out of the child seat. 4. Unbuckle the vehicle seat belt. 5. Pull out the vehicle seat belt through the seat belt hooks in the child seat. 6. Remove the child seat from the vehicle.
