A one-row heating coil is available as accessory (BA) for 4-pipes installations. Selection manual 6) HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS The connections, placed on the left side, are of the female type. It is possible to rotate the coil, if necessary. 7) AIR RELIEF VALVE Manual air relief valve. 8) WATER DISCHARGE VALVE Water discharge valve to empty the coil. 9) CONDENSATE DRAIN PAN Condensate drain pan with thermal insulation with discharge pipes (for vertical versions). ACCESSORIES 12) CONTROL BOARD Available in different versions is to be installed on the opposite side of the hydraulic connections. The standard fan-coils are provided with the terminal board only. 13) MIN. WATER TEMPERATURE THERMOSTAT Minimum water temperature thermostat. 14) ROOM THERMOSTAT Room thermostat. 15) AUXILIARY DRAIN PAN Auxiliary condensate drain pan for vertical installations. 10) CONDENSATE DRAIN Condensate drain pipe. 11) AIR FILTER Air filter in G3 class (EN779) and M1 class. 5 GB Fan coil - FFC 1206-6180658 SELECTION CRITERIA The versions with covering cabinet are available for ver tical installation and bottom intake (W) or front intake (FV) and horizontal installation and front intake (FO). air inlet temperature; the fan is considered at its max. speed, for lower speeds refer to the correction factors. Table 4 on page 10 show the heating capacity for the auxiliary 1-row coil depending on the water flow and on the temperature difference between water inlet and air inlet; the fan is considered at its max speed, for lower speeds refer to the correction factors. The hanging versions (C), without covering cabinet and bottom intake, are suitable for both vertical and horizontal installations. Table 1 on page 7 shows the technical data for the FFC units with 3-row coil for 2-pipes installation and with auxiliary 1-row coil for 4pipes installations. The tables on pages 17 and 18 shows the dimensions of the units in the various configurations, with indicated position and dimensions of the connections. From page 19 the various accessories, with their main dimension and performance characteristics, are shown. Page 11 shows the correction factors to determine the cooling and heating capacities at the different fan speeds and in case of glycoled water. Table 2 on page 8 show the total and sensible cooling capacities for the 3-row coil depending on the water temperatures and on the dry and wet bulb air temperatures; the fan is considered at its max. speed, for lower speeds refer to the correction factors. The diagrams on page 12 show the water pressure drops for the 3-row and the 1-row coils. The diagrams on page 13 show the fan curves. Table 3 on page 9 shows the heating capacity for the 3row coil depending on the water temperatures and the The diagrams on pages 14, 15, 16 show the sound pressure and power levels of the units. OPERATING LIMITS Max. water inlet temperature 80°C, max. operating pressure 15 bar. Choose the installation room respecting the allowed max. and min. room temperature limits: 10 ÷ 50°C (10%< R.H.<90%). Water minimum average temperature: the average water temperature has to be higher than the limits shown in the table below (depending on the temperature and humidity conditions of the room) to prevent condensate from forming on the external surface of the unit. The above mentioned limits refer to a fan at the minimum speed. WARNING: before performing any intervention it is necessary to have proper individual protection devices. WARNING: the electrical connections, the installation of the fan coils and their accessories have to be carried out exclusively by personnel having the technical and professional skills to perform the installation, transformation, extension and maintenance of the equipment, and capable of checking the plants in terms of safety and correct operation. Specifically, for the electrical connections, it is necessary to check the following: - Measurement of the insulation resistance of the electrical system. - Testing of the continuity of the protection conductors. S P E C I F I C AT I O N O F T H E CONNECTION CABLES Use H05V-K or N07V-K type with 300/500 V insulation, piped or ducted. The cables coming out of the pipe or duct must not be subject to stretching or twisting and, in any case, protected by external agents. Stranded wires may only be used with terminating sleeves. For all connections please refer to the wiring diagrams suppied togeter with the unit and specified in this document. To protect the fan-coils against short circuits, fit the power cable to the units with a 2A 250V (IG) thermomagnetic all-pole switch with a minimum contact gap of 3 mm. Each panel can control only one fan-coil. The installation site must have a protection class equal to IP30 of the control panel. The control panel may not be installed on a metal wall, unless this is permanenty connected to earth. The control panel consists solely of electrical circuits connected to a 230V power suppy; all probe and control inputs must therefore be insulated accordingly. The control panels PC1 and PC2 may be combined with minimum water temperature thermostat. The minimum water temperature thermostat allows to shut down the ventilation automatically, whene- ver the inlet water temperature falls under 40°C. Similar functions are performed by the remote control panels CR1, CR2 and CR11 according to their technical characteristics described in the previous pages. By means of the interface card SDI it is possible to control more units (up to 4) with one single remote control. The following pages show some examples of electrical wirings between the units and the control panels or the interface card SDI.
