Chapter 1 System Operating Environment and Components 1.1 Operating environment For this system is under improvement and the template interface can be changed by the user, what displays on your screen may differ from legends and diagrams in this manual. Operating environment for the HD camera as described in this manual is the basic requirements, with the best visual effects under a resolution of 1024×768. For configuration requirements of the camera, please refer to Table 1-1 below. Operating environment Table 1-1 Items Description DirectX Microsoft DirectX 9.0 or later Operating system Windows XP Web browser Supports IE6.0, IE7.0 and IE8.0 Hardware requirement Core Duo CPU, 2G DDR or higher Display requirement NVIDIA GF7300 (256M) or higher Bandwidth requirement 100M shared or higher
1.2 System components The system is mainly composed of eight modules, functions of which are briefed below, and operating instructions detailed in the following chapters. (1)Video browsing:The user can not only browse the main/secondary stream images, generate screen shots, but also record videos and replay local video files and those files from long-range search stored in the memory device; () (2)User setting:The user can be added and deleted, and permissions and the password for the user can be modified; (3)Network parameters:Including settings of basic information of the system, Rtsp and the Ntp server; (4)Channel setting:Including settings of basic information, compression parameters and PTZ (pan tilt and zoom) parameters; (5)Record setting:Settings of FTP recording, snapping parameters, SD card and support for 2
recording; (6)Alarm input/output setting: Including settings of alarm type, timing and alarm processing; (7)Equipment information: Including basic information of equipments, selection of the system and startup of the voice intercom; (8)Advanced settings:Time setting zone, updating, remote reset, and other operations.
Chapter 2 Login System 2.1 Log in the HD camera on IE 1. Open IE, and input IP address for the camera in the address field,
Diagram 2-1 2. Enter the login interface where the languages for operation (English or Chinese) can be selected, input the user name authorized, password and the corresponding communication port of the server providing services to the user, as shown below.
Diagram 2-2 3. After successful login, it will automatically enter into the video browsing page, on the left side of which is for function selection, the middle for video browsing and the right side for setting of PTZ control and video parameters, as shown in Diagram 2-3 below.

Diagram 3-6 At the bottom of the view, there is a row of buttons for switch between the main stream and secondary stream, video disconnection, snapping, recording, replay, opening audio and refreshing.
Diagram 3-7
3.2 Recording and replay Recording of video files played includes that through memory device, such as memory card and that of local files. The “Record” button at the bottom of the video image refers to recording of local files. Recording status is displayed in red as shown below. Click “Stop Recording” after recording is finished.
7
Diagram 3-8 After entry into the following interface, files can be searched through input of the date and channel. Buttons “Search” and “Select Local Files” refer to search of video files stored in the memory card and search of video files stored on the disc respectively. Video files searched out can be replayed through double-click or click on the “Play” button after selection, and fast-play, snapping, opening video and other operations are available at the same time.
8
Diagram 3-9 The user needs to start up remote recording and set up the size of video file in the remote recording setting zone for realization of remote recording, and the user can select “Search” button in the “Replay” interface for replay. Remote recording setting of the front SD card is shown below.

Chapter 4 User Setting In the “User Setting” interface, such operations as adding, deletion and editing of the user and change of the password are available, as shown below.
9
Diagram 4-1
4.1 Adding and deletion of user In the “Add User” interface, a user can be added, the password can be set and confirmed, and a prompt will be displayed in case of successful adding.
Diagram 4-2 A user can be deleted after being selected.
10
4.2 Change of password Input the old password and the new one for change of password for a user selected, as shown below.
Diagram 4-3
4.3 Change of permissions After a user is selected, operating permissions of the user can be authorized or limited in the list of permissions.

Chapter 5 Network Parameters 5.1 Basic information In the “Network Setting” interface for setting of basic information, IP address, subnet mask, DNS, data port for remote access, web port and start-up of remote control center can be set, so as to the gateway that is suggested to be in compliance with that of the LAN. Note: Modified parameters of the network port and for remote access must be saved in the “Advanced Settings” interface and restart must be performed, or else, the modification will not become effective. In case the WEB port is changed, url of Http://ip:port/ format must be used for reopening of the setting interface or software shown below.

Diagram 6-2 The following interface will be display after motion detection is applied. Click the left mouse button and drag on the video to draw a rectangle frame to be detected. Any region drawn can be cleared, and a motion detection region can be re-selected before click on “Save”. Furthermore, the threshold value and sensitivity of motion can be set. Click “Advanced Settings” button to enter the interface for timing and alarm type setting.
15
Diagram 6-3 In the “Advanced Settings” interface below, a time quantum to be arranged can be selected for setting, and the quantum set can be copied to a region with the same time arrangement. Alarm processing modes include “upload to the center”, “trigger alarm output or not” and “trigger alarm output 1”.
