Field Analyst from NEC identifies the gender and age of viewers, dwell time and viewing distance using cameras. This information can be used for audience analysis to respond with specific content aimed at a particular category of viewer. •

Offering exacting control and flexibility over any number of displays, Hiperwall is an ultra-high resolution software package providing advanced capabilities. One controller can manage content across multiple walls via a network, here Hiperwall is manipulating content on the 3x3 videowall located in the Transport zone. •

8 x NEC X463UN direct LED displays, each carrying an integrated i7 OPS PC, capable of being driven at their native 1920x1080 resolution for an ultra-high resolution videowall are supported on a Unicol floor mount. Additional EX231W 23” displays in a 2x2 configuration and driven by a Matrox graphics card, are mounted on a Chief K3F220B monitor bracket, demonstrating Hiperwall sender node. The demonstration includes how Hiperwall can handle live video feeds with the streamer node, here working with LifeSize® videoconferencing codec as a streamed input.

Showcasing the new release of NEC NaviSet control software, NaViSet Administrator 2, which offers the ability to control and monitor large format and desktop displays and projectors over a single network. Potential failures and maintenance requirements can be dealt with pro-actively resulting in an improved reliability on all displays across the entire estate. •

LEAFENGINE SENSOR TRIGGERED MIDDLEWARE AND SLOT IN PC (SBC) | NEC
New smart signage uses sensors to drive dedicated content based on what the sensors detect. This could be facial recognition, combined with touch screens, proximity sensors, NFC or QR readers. Encoding all the different manufacturers sensors and changing priorities can be time consuming and inflexible. NEC’s Leafengine is middleware designed to drastically simplify the high levels of encoding for sensor-driven smart signage. Once enabled, it allows end users to modify what happens with content based on a mix of sensors, giving the ability to maximise the benefits and audience accountability via the sensors. •

SLOT IN PC (SBC) | NEC
Whatever the installation there is an SBC for the job. For example, a back to back installation requiring different video on each screen can use the i5 OPS module which has the power to drive 2 images from one SBC using the Mini Displayport out connectivity. •

They can be configured with Windows 7 embedded, Windows 8 embedded or Windows XP, without an operating system or NEC can pre build with a customer image. SBC’s also support Linux.

Projector Edge-Blending and Stacking Features | NEC
The PH, PX and PA NEC projector ranges all have built in edge-blending and stacking capabilities. These are key features to enable super wide images for auditoriums (or rental and staging) with the edge blending software or by stacking up to four projectors (PHx4) over 40,000 lumens can be achieved with built in backup through use of multiple projectors compared to using just one high bright product. Footage of the Showcase dancing troupe is captured by Jaegerfilm using a 5K Red Epic Camera set at 100fps at 4K, ideal for slow motion. This is edited using NEC SpectraView displays and rendered to 4K files for 10 bit playback which demonstrates the enlarged colour space of the NEC DC Laser Projector.
