ADVANCED AMPLIFIER FEATURES PLUS RS-232 CONTROL Neets Amplifier Version 2 is the intermediate model of the Neets amplifier range, offering high output power, advanced features and flexible control via RS-232. It is the ideal solution for classroom and conference room AV systems that require an external amplifier, but where a separate rack-mount amplifier is not desired due to cost and space requirements. Amplifier Version 2 is based on a high-performance Class D output stage, with 90% efficiency for “green” installations. A fail-safe protection feature guards against amplifier damage from accidental short-circuiting of the speaker cables. Four unbalanced stereo line inputs are available. Presets for each input can be configured via RS-232, allowing separate adjustments for input gain, L-R balance, and bass/treble equalization. Amplifier Version 2 can be linked to a Neets controller via RS-232 or by using the dedicated inputs for mute, input select and volume (potentiometer or stepped). In addition, Amplifier Version 2 offers an RS-232 loop-through function, making it possible to control both the amplifier and the projector from only one RS-232 output on your Neets controller. The controller connects first to the amplifier, which then sends the appropriate data commands on to the projector using the RS-232 loop-through function. Both RS-232 ports are Tx and Rx, enabling feedback. The amplifier module mounts quickly and easily, with flanges at each end for securing to podiums, overhead ceiling supports or inside standard trunking systems. All connections are on Euroblock connectors with mating screw terminals (supplied).
