1. Overview
Clients are mainly used in the monitoring center, duty room, receiving alarm room, command and dispatching room, etc, with real-time video surveillance, video parameter settings, network parameter settings and other basic functions, along with privacy masking, receive and process alarms, voice talkback, etc. advanced applications. Beautiful interface, performance and diverse, stable and reliable, easy to operate, is effective video surveillance equipment system client.
2. Runtime Environment

3. Software Installation and Uninstall
3.1 Software Installation Double-click the installation file to open the Client Installation Wizard. Click【Next】to continue the installation.

3.2 Software Uninstall Go to start menu, in the "All Programs" and find , click to start uninstalling software; or re- run the setup file to install to the same path to cover the original installation. Note: If you use re -install, must be installed to the same path then only can be overwritten. Before beginning uninstall dialog box will pop up to confirm the uninstall. Click [Yes] to begin the uninstall. Please wait for the process of unloading
Tips Uninstall successful, click【OK】to complete the uninstall.
4. Landing
Clients need to input a user name and password to login. Double-click the Client icon, pop-up login screen. Step 1: Input the correct user name and password (default: admin). Step 2: Choose your language (default: English). Step 3: Select login option (defaults: remember passwords and non-automatic landing). Step 4: Click【login】to login.

5.1 Device List Area
The left side of the main interface device list area, In the search will be displayed here once to search for devices and equipment. While providing equipment grouped polling operation, equipment, search and display functions operate equipment.
5.1.1 Equipment Search
Auto Search: search client device will automatically search for online devices. Manually refresh: Right-click the icon , and then click the "Refresh" for manually refresh the search.

5.1.2 Equipment Show
There are two ways to display devices. First: Click to expand online devices , then double-click the , the device will In the picture display area. Second: Use the mouse to drag the device directly which is online to the screen display area, the device will be shown in the picture display area.
5.1.3 Grouping Devices Right-click the device list, select "Add group" will increase the group, you can rename this groups, Use the mouse to drag the device to the packet, thus completing the device grouping.
5.1.4 Start talk & Modify Device Name Click the right mouse button in the position of the list,you can see start talk and modify device name.

5.1.4 Patrol There are two round robin manners. Consist of plenary and group round robin polling. All polling: All round robins are a list of all the devices polling the devices, including devices within the group. Right-click the device list, pop-up selection-box that can select Start patrol, pause and stop the round robin polling. Round robin within the group: the group round robin is a device within the group round robin play the role of the group outside the device does not work. Right-click the group name pop-up selection box, check "Allow Carousel" and then click "Start Carousel" in round robin, click the "pause patrol" pause carousel, click on "Stop Carousel" to stop polling.
5.1.5 Talkback The function of talkback can be achieved talkback operation, Right-click the device eject the "Start Talkback" , you can achieve talkback.(it only works with talkback enabled devices.)
5.2 Picture Display Area
Picture display area is the video display area, with a variety of screen display, the screen can be up to 36 screens .The video display area have various operations, For example a single screen:

5.3 Screen Switching Zones Screen switching area is located in the upper left corner position of the interface , the main function is to switch screens and multi-screen switch the display. The icons corresponding to the function as follows:

Screen switch: The client provides a screen , two screens , eight pictures, nine pictures , sixteen screen twenty-five screen thirty-six screen seven kinds of split screen display mode. Full screen display: Click the Full Screen button display screen , the entire display area is in full screen mode Previous screen and next set playback: grouping device, and when I click on one group or the next group , it will be grouped Previous screen and next screen playback: Grouping devices for effective, when a group exceeds the number of devices currently displayed split screen, you can click on a button or next screen within the group split-screen display.
5.4 Interface Operating Area Interface operation area is located in the top right of the interface to control the client's locks, scaling and off function, the icon corresponding to the function as below: lock button

5.5 Interface Switching Zones Interface switch located just below the interface, the main functions of the client block, through the interface switch to toggle. Includes five functional areas: real-time preview, video playback, alarm queries, device management, and system settings.

6.1 Video Search Area Video Search to select a device, select the path and choose the time to search for the appropriate recording conditions. Select Device: In the device list, select the device you want to search, you can press a single device checked, you can select by group or all checked. Audio: Click the audio button; recording will increase the audio playback, (determined by device function itself).
Full screen: Double click the play area can switch the full screen.

7. Electronic Map
Click the "E-map" to enter the E-map interface.

7.2 Map Display Area Map display area is located in the right side of the interface; you can clearly see the maps and equipment situation.
You can move the map location of the device, right-click the device and select Remove device click see real-time viewing.

8.1 Equipment Selection Area
In the device selection area, lists the searched devices and searched devices once. Click on a device you can select, query the device alarm recording, The device's IP shows in query area device ip frame.
8.2 Query Area
In query area by selecting the alarm's IP, time and type of query to query the alarm records, when the condition has been selected complete, click to start the query. Device IP: Select the device in the device area will display device IP. Time: By dropdown select the start time and end time. Alarm type: Select the type of alarm in the Dropdown.
8.3 Query Recording Area Query log area displays the query alarm information, including the device ID, device IP, alarm time, alarm source ID, the name of the alarm source and alarm type and so on.

In equipment maintenance interface, you can view and maintain client devices. Stored in the directory, there are three devices: a device automatically searched online, once discovered devices, and manually added devices. Check the device, click for deletion. (Tips: Control port: 60001 to 60020 are reserved port; please start from 60021 for multi cameras.)

DHCP: Select , gets dynamic IP ,acquired IP DHCP will show up after setting Static IP: if user doesn’t select , will get static IP (default is static), you can edit and modify the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway. Subnet mask default is 255.255.255.0 Note: IP address and default gateway should be consistent DNS: Under static IP state, DNS can be editable; DNS can’t be edited after getting IP automatically, but can be assigned automatically by the server. 9.4.4 Date Click

In the date interface, you can view and set the date. Time zone: In the Time zone drop-down box, you can select the time zone . Daylight Saving Time: Check enable daylight saving time, daylight saving time start and end times can be set in the state. Click on the drop-down menu every time, you can set the time element. 9.5 Media Set Click to expand Media settings directory. Contents include six parts such as Encoding Config, image configuration, OSD, privacy masking,video output and ROI.
9.5.1 Encoding Config Home media settings default interface is the local network interface, you can click enter

Channel: Select the channel's name. Video Resolution: select the source resolution; click the icon on the right to wait for restarting device. Stream ID: Select the stream. Video Encoder: In the drop -down box to select H.264 Baseline, H.264 Main Profile, H.264 High Profile and MJPEG. Audio Encoder: In the drop-down box to select required audio encoding types, including G711_ALAW and G711_ULAW. Resolution: In the drop-down box to select the resolution, the resolution should less than the source resolution numerical values. GOP: I frame interval, range: 1-90, the default value is 50; set frame rate can’t be less than I frame range. Frame rate: In the drop-down box to select the required frame rate range and default values which is decided by specific equipment. Encode interval: The default value is 1. Rate Control: offers three rate types: VBR, CBR and LBR.

Bitrate: Set the attention range, the range depends on the specific circumstances. Quality: you can set the value of the video picture quality, which is relative to stream type. Click to confirm, click to refresh. Note: please pay attention to different parameter incidence relation and parameter range.
9.5.2 Image Configuration In the image configuration interface, you can view and set the content
Image configuration provides video preview, the image settings will show up in the video preview. Configuration choice can expand through the right corresponding drop down. Basic settings: You can set the brightness rod, saturation and sharpness, by mirroring drop-down bar to select the required mage, including off, horizontal, vertical, horizontal +vertical. Exposure: used to set the exposure, the exposure shutter mode configuration provides a fixed shutter and the maximum shutter settings, both through the pull-down bar, can select Settings, Default: Auto, 1/25 [50Hz]: 1/30 [60Hz]. Gain: Gain parameter is used to set the gain configuration provides a gain mode, fixed gain and maximum gain settings. Default: Auto, fixed gain: 0 Scene modes: used to set the scene modes, including five kinds of scene modes such as auto, Cloudy, Sunny,Fluorescent and Tungsten. WDR function can be selected as close, lowest and Highest. Flickerless: By selecting different frequency to overcome the image frequency flicker, which is caused by out of synchronization between image and power. There are 50Hz and 60Hz for selection, the default is 50Hz. Noise Reduction: Choose the strength of noise reduction, the default value is 50. Aperture: Auto IRIS and manual IRIS provides two modes. IRIS Speed can be selected. Day and night settings: day and night setting provides initiative, passivity,day mode,night mode and time switch. Threshold, night & day threshold and switching sensitivity settings. 25

Through the system settings, user can view and set various parameters about client system, including five parts: general configuration, network settings, equipment maintenance, permission settings, video management, and system logs.

In the conventional configuration interface, you can view various conventional setting to about clients. In the conventional configuration, choose different configuration by checking, including seven configurations: automatic landing program, program automatic starts, recording service along with

the program starts, automatic alarm information notice, automatic stretch video, video adaptive and if enable anti-cracks. At the same time you can view the version information.
10.2 Network Settings Click

In the Network Settings screen you can view and set the network settings. Alarm port: Input port number in alarm port box and can set alarm port number (default is 60001). In the Permissions settings screen you can view and set the client's permission. Permission groups: Permission groups set different permissions group. User own same permission under the same permission group , the client provides five privileges such as real-time preview, video playback, alarm queries, device management, and system settings. Customer can view and set client video strategy in recording policy interface. Select video device in area, click Add button to add to recording device directory. In the video equipment directory, you can check device to delete, start and stop video recording and so on operations.. Video settings area provides various video parameter settings. Stream Selection: Select stream in toolbox. Record audio: Check option button to record audio in the video. Disk full coverage: Click select whether the disk need full coverage. Remain Days: Click to select Edit to input required remain days in input box. Alarm recording: Tick enabled button, you can edit the pre-recorded and continuation time. Scheduling recording: Tick enabled button, you can choose full time recording and timer recording Click to set the parameters.
10.4.2 Storage Settings Click

In store settings interface you can view and set the client storage. Setting steps: Step 1: Click to select the storage path or directly enter the storage path. Step 2: Set space size, the default value is 0M (which means all space). Step 3: Click to add the path to the directory store. Step 4: Click button to select the desired path, you can check to enable the storage path; also click or to delete or modify operation.

Time-range system diary recording your actions on the system, you can view the recorded time, user, operation, equipment, IP, camera ID and device ID. Query steps: Step 1: Select the start time and end time. Step 2: Enter the user name. Step 3: Select log types, including five types, such as all types, video preview, video playback, system registry and system settings. Step 4: Click for logging, query results will appear in the directory.
11. FAQ
(1) I am using Windows XP operating system, when my client records dozens of channels recording, the system will become very slow, and often lose the data, why is that ? A: When customer recording reaches dozens of channels, we recommend using win7 or better operating systems for recording. (2) I want to playback my video data, but don’t search. A: Check following points: 1. Recording directory is added correctly. (2) Whether is the device time synchronized with the PC? 3. Whether is the video enabled (3) When I connect computer to video browsing directly. I found the video become slow, and delay time becomes longer. A: Check whether the network access is standard, such as change a tested qualified. network cable

(4) Why am I watching a video, feel the system run very slowly , when I view the task manager, memory fluctuate and changes constantly ? A: This is because graphics card drivers can’t support graphics performance well. Please upgrade the graphics card driver to the latest version.
