New calendar "Passion 2014". Classy vehicles in high-impact images. Month after month, Spies Hecker presents the diversity of the automotive world in its new calendar “Passion 2014”. This year it focuses on classic cars that have been photographed at customer sites. In January there’s a matt black hot rod, a Chevy Top Chop, from 1950. In March, a 1961 redand-white Opel Rekord Olympia. In September, a blue-and-white Wartburg 311/1000 built in 1963. These are just three of the 12 high-impact images in the Spies Hecker calendar “Passion 2014”. Classic cars from the 1950s to the 1970s Numerous bodyshops all over Europe sent in pictures of their masterpieces. The Spies Hecker team spent more than a week touring different countries in order to create stylish settings for the vehicles and to capture them on camera. “This calendar shows genuine classic vehicles and all the passion that went into their restoration,” says Peter Wingen of the Spies Hecker marketing team describing the outcome of the project. “Each year, our calendar demonstrates just how diversified our trade is.” Unbeatable expertise and material from Spies Hecker Dietmar Wegener, color specialist at Spies Hecker, explains, “Classic cars in particular need meticulous substrate preparation if high corrosion protection and a dazzling finish are to be achieved. By using the ColorDialog spectro and Delta-Scan for electronic color measurement, our customers measured the original colors and found the matching formula for each classic car in the CRplus color software.” Images wanted for 2015 And now the big moment has come around again: bodyshops can now start sending Spies Hecker their entries for the 2015 calendar. Wingen says, “Interested refinishers should let us have their suggestions by 22 February 2014.” With a bit of luck, the bodyshop will then find its image on one of the 12 Spies Hecker calendar pages.
