GROUND FUELING SAFER FASTER STRONGER 341GF NOZZLE MAINTENANCE TRAINING Model 341GF Typical Military Assemblies D-1 Nozzle D-2 Nozzle Model 341GF D-2 Nozzle Changing the NOSE SEAL 29912-01B Nose Seal 29912-01B Nose Seal Lug-less Adapter Tool Lug-less Adapter Tool Put Lug-less Adapter over Nose Seal Press Lug-less Adapter to release interlock Rotate Collar around Body Rotate Operating Lever to extend Poppet Rotate Operating Lever to extend Poppet Remove Cotter Pin Remove Cotter Pin Twist Off Poppet from Stem Pull Nose Seal from the Body Remove and Replace thin 00737H O-ring Visually inspect the flow path Place the new Nose Seal into place Screw the Poppet back on until it stops Back it off until the hole and slot line up Install the Cotter Pin Install the Cotter Pin Rotate the Operating Lever to Close Rotate the Collar to engage interlocks Changing the Grip Bars, Guard Bar & Dust Cap Use a 7/16 Wrench to Remove Bolt & Washer Remove Bolt and Washer Remove the Grip Bar Dust Cap is retained on one of the Grip Bars Remove the other Bolt and Washer Remove the other Bolt and Washer Use a long punch to drive out Guard Bar Alternate sides to drive it out evenly Tap new Guard Bar into place Remember the Dust Cap Use Bolts and Washers to pull in the Guard Bar Use Bolts and Washers to pull in the Guard Bar Changing the Crank Shaft Seals Put Lug-less Adapter over Nose Seal Press Lug-less Adapter to release interlock Rotate Collar around Body To remove these Screws… Partially rotate the Operating Lever Use a 5/32 Hex Key Pull the Operating Lever off Crank Shaft For help, GENTLY spread the slot And pry from the back The Crank Shaft Bushing exposed Use a 1” Wrench to remove the Bushing Use a 1” Wrench to remove the Bushing Inspect and/or replace 01127A O-ring Extract the 01129G O-ring Leave the 71988-38A Washer on Crank Shaft Place the new O-ring inside the Bushing Push the Bushing onto the Crank Shaft Torque down the Crank Shaft Bushing Put Operating Lever onto the Crank Shaft Tap Operating Lever flush with Crank Shaft Install the two Screws Torque Scews Evenly Rotate Operaing Lever to closed position Rotate the Collar to engage interlocks Changing the Collar and Interlock Plate Rotate the Collar to engage interlocks Use a Ball Tube to catch the 51 Balls Squeeze, rattle, shake & get all 51! Don’t let go until you get them all out Cap the Ball Tube to retain all the Balls Lift the Collar off of the Body Lift the Collar off of the Body The Interlock components exposed The Interlock Plate can now be removed The Interlock Plate can now be removed Inspect the Ball Race for damage Replace Interlock Plate with “THIS SIDE OUT” Place Collar onto Interlock Plate With the correct orientation Match up Interlock Plate & Collar features Insert the Ball Tube with 51 Balls Press Collar down and align Square Pins Line up Interlock Plate & Square Pins, Squeeze Reinstall the Ball Plug Torque the Ball Plug properly Changing the Swivel Joint Seals Remove the Ball Plug Insert the Ball Tube Twist the joint to drain out all 37 Balls Remove & replace the 01152J O-ring Remove the 29927-01K Slipper Seal Remove & replace the 01151A O-ring Replace the Slipper Seal over the O-ring Insert the Ball Tube with 37 Balls & twist Inspect and/or replace 71904-04K O-ring Torque the Ball Plug properly 341GF NOZZLE MAINTENANCE TRAINING GROUND FUELING SAFER FASTER STRONGER CLA-VAL Aviation Fuel Products GOING FURTHER!
