performance in unpredictable shooting environments, keeping up with the DL range’s high autofocusing speed of approximately 0.09s*2. This works in tandem with an outstanding continuous shooting speed of 20 frames per second. Beyond still image capture, the DL series supports photographers looking to capture video in 4K UHD (3840 × 2160)/30p quality, alongside a suite of creative movie-making options. From the ability to replay moments in ultralow speed with slow motion movie, to time-lapse, superlapse and motion snapshots, various creative modes enable the photographer’s flexible pursuit of their vision with the help of their Nikon DL. The DL range is also able to capture images in the RAW format, for the convenient and precise adjustment of image quality. The cameras support Nikon’s newest connectivity platform, SnapBridge, for the seamless and immediate transfer of images to paired smart devices*3 via Bluetooth low energy. Professional photographers can now upload and share their favourite images and on-going project updates as soon as they are captured, whether shooting in the field or in the studio. “The Nikon DL series provides professional photographers with the ultimate high-performance compact camera for flexibility when shooting on the go or in spontaneous and unexpected environments,” said James Murray, Director of Sales & Marketing, Nikon Australia. “An essential for any photographer’s kit, users will find it easy to switch between cameras in their arsenal with the adoption of a Nikon DSLR user interface and system that is both familiar and intuative to their needs. This compounded with the added conveniece of SnapBridge connectivity expands possibilities for photographers to share their experiences with the world, as they happen.” The DL18-50mm f/1.8-2.8: Big Pictures, Unlimited Possibilities 1. Liberating optical performance The DL18-50mm f/1.8-2.8 presents itself with a focal range of 1850mm*1 and top of its game leading optical innovation. Among its stellar lens characteristics is the combination of its 18mm focal length with a wide aperture of f/1.8, offering photographers the fastest maximum aperture in NIKKOR history, surpassing that of NIKKOR interchangeable lenses for SLR cameras. This enables the lens to capture dynamic perspectives, with high contrast and a deep bokeh, with outstanding shutter speeds for freezing movement in low light. In addition, the DL18-50mm f/1.8-2.8 is the only compact camera in the range to incorporate a Nano Crystal Coat, reducing the unwanted effects of ghosting and flare, reducing the need for post-processing. With less time spent in the editing suite, photographers can focus on the pursuit of their best shots. Other superior optical technologies adapted from Nikon DSLRs include a large-diameter, precision moulded-glass aspherical lens element with a large thickness deviation ratio*4, an aspherical Extra- low Dispersion (ED) glass element, and a High Refractive Index (HRI) lens element, working together to suppress all types of aberrations. 2. True-to-life wide angle capture Crafted for the photography of architecture and landscapes from day to night, the unique design of the lens components achieves

superb resolution even at the image periphery, while in the maximum wide-angle position. The camera also incorporates a perspective control function that recognises the differences in focusing distance between the camera and various parts of the subject, intelligently helping to correct image distortion, which is a common issue when capturing tall buildings or wide vistas. 3. Other features 1.0-inch backside illumination CMOS sensor Brand-new quad-core EXPEED 6A image-processing engine High-speed continuous shooting at approximately 20fps with autofocus (AF)*5 Accuracy with Hybrid AF system for a frame coverage of 105 focus points with phase-detection AF, or 171 focus points with contrast-detect AF Dual Detect Optical VR for camera shake compensation SnapBridge connectivity Multiple exposure (lighten) function which enables the simple composition of multiple images taken with the interval timer, reproducing star and light trails Creative mode with photographers being able to combine image presets and effects for over 20 creative combinations Fluorine coating for easy lens cleaning and maintenance Step-zoom ring design for the quick switching of lens focal length 3-inch tilting OLED touch screen monitor with approximately 1037k-dot for vibrant and accurate colour reproduction Optional external OLED electronic viewfinder with eye sensor The DL24-85mm f/1.8-2.8: Ready for Close-ups 1. People and portraits maven The DL24-85mm f/1.8-2.8 with its f/1.8-2.8 aperture and 24-85mm*1 focal range, incorporates a lens design that creates well-blended background blur at short shooting distances, making this DL the portraiture specialist. This is achieved through a lens architecture that incorporates ED glass, precision moulded-glass aspherical lens and HRI lens elements, working together to enable superior rendering and suppressing unwanted lens aberration effectively. Unique to this camera’s lens design is the incorporation of a built-in ND filter, enabling the use of slower shutter speeds even when shooting in brightly lit environments. This reduces the amount of light to 1/8 (3-stop equivalent), preventing the over-exposure of images. 2. Details beyond the naked eye Be it insects or fine textures, the DL24-85mm f/1.8-2.8 captures stunning shots for photographers looking for fresh perspectives. Photographers have the option to shoot with the super macro function, enabling “life-size” close-up shooting at a 35mm-format equivalent for those needing a closer look at their pint-sized subjects. Various functions, from focus bracketing to manualpriority AF and focus peaking are available when shooting in super macro. The Focus Bracketing function automatically shifts

the focus position slightly during continuous shooting, which comes in handy during super macro shooting where accurate focus can be difficult to achieve due to the very shallow depth of field. 3. Other features 1.0-inch backside illumination CMOS sensor Brand-new quad-core EXPEED 6A image-processing engine High-speed continuous shooting at approximately 20fps with AF*5 Fast and accurate Hybrid AF system for a frame coverage of 105 focus points with phase-detection AF, or 171 focus points with contrast-detect AF Dual Detect Optical VR for camera shake compensation SnapBridge connectivity Multiple exposure (lighten) function to facilitate an easy composition of multiple images taken with the interval timer for light trails’ reproduction Creative mode option with image presets and effects for over 20 artistic combinations Fluorine coating for stress-free cleaning and maintenance of the lens Step-zoom ring design enabling a quick switch of the lens' focal length Approximately 1037k-dot, tilting 3-inch OLED touch-screen monitor producing vivid colour reproductions Built-in flash Optional external OLED electronic viewfinder with eye sensor The DL24-500mm f/2.8-5.6: The Long-Distance DL 1. Compact telephoto performance Taking photographers into the heart of the action is the DL24500mm f/2.8-5.6, equipped with a 24-500mm*1 high-resolution NIKKOR zoom lens and a maximum aperture of f/2.8-5.6, combining super-telephoto performance with remarkable image quality. The camera’s broad range of focal lengths makes it equally at home in capturing sporting scenes and wildlife with 500 mm super-telephoto shooting, as it is when shooting landscapes at 24 mm. Throughout the camera’s zoom range, an aspherical ED glass element, effectively compensates for all types of aberration, including chromatic aberration and distortion for sharp and clear image rendering. 2. Capturing movement on the move When tracking moving subjects from a distance or shooting from a moving vehicle, the DL24-500mm f/2.8-5.6 captures crisp, shakefree images aided by a Dual Detect Optical VR module, which provides compensation for camera shake. A newly-incorporated SPORT (VR) mode, commonly employed in interchangeable telephoto lenses for DSLRs, also makes the DL24-500mm f/2.8-5.6 particularly adept at tracking subjects that move erratically, such as wildlife or athletes on the field, enabling precise high-speed continuous shooting and smooth panning shots.
