Unpacking Instructions GENERAC G22 KINETIC LOG SPLITTER Unpacking the Generac Kinetic Log Splitter Tools and Supplies Needed:  9/16" Wrench  Wire Cutters  Hammer  Pry Bar  Safety Glasses  Gloves  Ear protection   The crate boards are stapled to the pallet. Wear Safety Glasses, Gloves and ear protection when prying the bottom boards off to protect your eyes, hands and ears from injury. The Straps can snap towards you when you cut them. Wear Safety Glasses and Gloves when cutting the Straps to protect your eyes and hands from injury. Tray Kit (optional Accessory) Crate Tray Straps Pallet Bottom Board on all 4 sides Figure 1 Product Pack 1. Place the Shipping Crate in a clean flat area. 2. Cut the Straps from the Tray (If included) and lean the Tray against the Splitter (Figure 1). 3. Pry the bottom Crate Boards away from the Pallet using a Pry Bar and Hammer. 4. Lift the Crate up from the Wedge side of the Splitter and over to the back of the machine. 5. Cut the Straps securing the Standard Log Table Box to the Pallet and remove the box (Figure 2). 6. Remove the Product Pack from the Splitter Frame. 7. Hold the Engagement Handle and use Wire Cutters to cut the strap that secures it (Figure 3). Hold the Ram from sliding and use Wire Cutters to cut the strap that secures it. Carefully lower the Ram to rest against the Wedge. 9. Cut the Straps that secure the Frame Stand to the Pallet and remove the Frame Stand. Wood Chocks 10. Cut the Straps that secure the Axle to the Pallet. Straps Frame Stand Figure 3 Continued on other side GENERAC® KINETIC LOG SPLITTER 1 11. Remove the Lag bolt that secures the Front of the Beam to the Pallet with a 9/16" Wrench (Figure 4). 12. Open the Product Package and refer to Chapter 2: “Setting Up the KINETIC LOG SPLITTER” of your Kinetic Log Splitter Safety and Operating Instructions manual to continue with the assembly of the Log Splitter.
