How to Turn on and off: Long press down switch “G” on the pen clip and hold it till Orange LED light stays illuminated. To turn off, long press down switch “G” and hold it until the unit turns off the LED lights. If no buttons are pressed after 60 seconds, the unit will power down and shut off. How to record Voice: After powering on the unit, pre ss the “G” button to begin recording. When you power on the recorder, the Orange LED light will stay on (standby status). Once the “G” button is pressed, the pen will begin recording and the Orange LED will then blink, indicating the device is recording. How to play recordings: After you power on the unit, toggle the “A” selector button to the left untill the Green LED light comes on. Press down button “G” to begin playing back and the Green LED will blink indicating the device is voice playing back .

Description of USB Media Pen
Before using the Media Pen, plug it into the USB port of a computer and charge the battery for at least 2.5 hours or until the RED LED light stays illuminated. No driver is needed if you run Windows XP, Files play back via Windows Media Player or RealPlayer. Play back can be listened to via the earphones that are included or when connected to the computer via Windows Media Player or RealPlayer. This unit is equipped with automatic shut off. If no buttons are pressed after 60 seconds the unit will power down and shut off.
How to play MP3 files: Toggle the “A” selector button to the left until the Blue light comes on, press down button “G” to play the MP3 files, the Blue LED will be blinking. Press down button “G” again to stop. When playing MP3 files, the Blue LED will be blinking slowly. How to select files: During MP3/Voice playback, toggle “A” up (Last) and down (Next) to select files.
How to reset : Switch off the button “F” and then switch it on again when it is frozen. Warning: The switch must be “ON” while charging the battery.
How to control volume: During playing MP3/Voice, long toggle “A” up (V+) or long toggle “A” down (V-) until desired volume is reached. How to download MP3’s or files to/from the computer: Plug the USB connector into the computer, select files on your computer to be downloaded to the device, right click file to “save as” or “drag and drop” to the drive letter of the device. To upload files from the device to the computer, right click on the file and “save as” or “drag and drop” to the desired location on the computer.

How to charge / recharge the battery: Plug the USB connector into the computer and the RED LED will blink indicating the device is charging. The battery is charged completed till the RED LED stays illuminated. The charging time takes about 2.5 hours. Trouble Shooting & Reformatting: If the unit is not functioning properly, plug it into the USB port of the computer and use the Windows file manager to reformat. (note: all information on the recorder will be lost) Low Battery: When the battery runs low and has only 10% capacity left, the RED LED will start to blink. See How to Charge.

With fully charged battery: Continued Voice Recording time: Approximately 6 hours. Continued MP3 Playing time: Approximately 5 hours. After 60 seconds of no use, the unit will shut down and power off.
