FRONT PANEL CONNECTIONS DESCRIPTION: The Mclelland NPVD-104P is a video distribution amp which designed for most security video system, home audio and professional sound installations. It provides one input 4 distributed outputs which designed to connect to 75 ohm terminated load, and one loop-through output. Sourceterminated distributed outputs do not require termination if unused. You also can adjust the video level from -1~+7dB for using the gain potentiometer on the top panel.
APPLICATION: The NPVD-104P is the ideal choice in most applications which designed for video signals need to be distributed. It has video input and outputs made on the front panel BNC jacks. Power connections are made using full-size barrier block terminals on the rear panel. The NPVD-104P has two jacks for input signal and loopthrough output signal on the front panel, if 75 ohm termination of the input signal is required, the terminator provided is plugged onto the loop out jack. There also has a gain function onto the input and loop out, the gain potentiometer allows user adjust from -1 dB to +7 dB. The NPVD-104P has four source terminated outputs featured through the BNC jacks and unused outputs need not be terminated. There has a unique feature of this unit is 1 V VIDEO INTO TERMINATED LOAD LED indicator under the four output BNC jacks. While not intended as precision test equipment, this indicator is helpful in field and remote location setup. When the video signal drops below 1 Vp-p, the indicator will off, and when the signal just achieves 1 volt, it will come on immediately. So summarize, whenever you need the video distribution amplifier to provide wide-band video feeds, gain adjustment, reliability, compactness and unsurpassed versatility, the Mclelland NPVD-104P is the great ideal choice.
INPUT: Connect video input to the IN jack. If the input signal is to continue on to another piece of equipment which will terminate the input, connect a cable to the loop out jack, connect the other end of this cable to the terminating equipment. If no loop output is used, connect a 75 ohm terminator to the loop out jack. OUTPUT: Connect the coaxial cable to the desired outputs on the NPVD-104P, and label them as desired. GAIN ADJUSTMENT: Adjust the GAIN potentiometer for 1 Vp-p video level on your instrumentation. In the absence of test equipment, the 1V VIDEO INTO TERMINATED LOAD LED may be used. First turn the gain counter-clockwise. Then advance the GAIN clockwise until the 1V VIDEO INTO TERMINATED LOAD LED just illuminates.
