Child & Youth Programs CDC: 301-744-4458 YAC: 301-744-5456 School Age Care (SAC) has been extended Please call the Youth Center for enrollment information and fee schedules. The CDC also has spaces available for full-time childcare. Hourly Care Eligible patrons include all children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Care is available on a day to day basis and requires advance reservations. Open spaces for hourly care depend on the number of full-time enrolled children. Hourly care reservations as well as payments for care can be made online at http:// myffr.navyaims.com/ndwcymc.html. For more information, please contact the Child Development Center or the Youth Activities Center.
Storytime and Crafts Every Tuesday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Join us at the Library every Tuesday for a story and a craft! Book Swap 1st Wednesday of every month Join us for a book swap once a month! All adults are invited to share their favorite titles that they no longer want and hopefully leave with a new mustread book!

Comedy Night November 3, 2015 at 5 p.m. Location: Mix House Come enjoy a night of laughs with comedians Danny Martinez, Ed Blake, Jim Holder and Olivia Arrington. Light food will be provided. Eligible patrons include all with base access, 18 years and older due to adult situational comedy. Cost: FREE Seasonal Crafts November 9 - 16, 2015 from 5 to 6 p.m. Spruce up your home with seasonal crafts to display in and around the house! Cost: FREE Pajama Storytime November 13, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. Show off your best pajamas at this fun family night! A No-Sew Pillow craft and bedtime story will fill the evening! Cost: FREE Fishing Derby November 14, 2015 from 8 a.m. to noon Location: Stump Neck Join us for our annual Fishing Derby! Prizes will be awarded and food and drink will be provided. Register at the Community Recreation Center by November 10. Must be 12 years old and under to register and parents must have base access. Cost: FREE MaKey MaKey Gaming Kit Night November 18, 2015 from 6 to 7 p.m. Have you ever played with a circuit board? Wonder how video controllers work? Join us for an evening of gaming using a MaKey MaKey kit. It’s basic engineering with a twist! Gear Issue & Equipment Rental 301-744-6314 Fall is here and it’s camping season! Visit Outdoor Recreation Gear Issue & Equipment Rental for all your camping and outdoor needs. The Outdoor Recreation program rents an extensive selection of recreation equipment. Available items include bicycles, camping tents and supplies, canoes and kayaks, grills, picnic tents, tables and chairs, and tarps. We now offer two fifteen- foot RVs as well. Equipment can be rented daily or weekly. Many of the rental items are new and all others are in excellent condition. Call for more information or to reserve equipment. Outdoor Recreation is located in the Auto Hobby Shop.

Weight House Fitness Center Top Golf Alexandria November 20, 2015 at 5 p.m. Top Golf is a sprawling entertainment venue with a high tech driving range and lounge with drinks and games! Register and pay by November 17. Cost: $9.50, to include round-trip transporation, golf playing card and 40 microchip golf balls. Thanksgiving Dinner November 24, 2015 at 5 p.m. Indulge in a catered Thanksgiving feast at the Liberty Center followed by movies and ping pong.
