Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (IICT –BAS)
Mission: To perform basic and applied research in the fields of computer science and information and communication technologies, as well as to develop interdisciplinary innovations.
Structure of the R&D activities The research and development activities of IICT during 2015 are performed into the framework of the following main projects: - 15 funded by the budget subsidiary - 9 supported by the Bulgarian Science Fund - 6 funded by the OP „Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economics“ and 1 by the Bulgarian Innovation Fund
- 17 international projects funded by EC - 18 R&D contracts directly with industrial enterprise, 3 of them with foreign companies
AComIn: Advanced Computing for Innovations (FP7-REGPOT) Prof. Galia Angelova, the Coordinator of AComIn, was awarded by the Minister of Education and Science with the Big Award Pitagor for successful leadership of international projects.
AComIn is among the projects with significant and real impact on the European economy and society.
