However, as an HDMI™ cable’s length surpasses 6 meters, the integrity of the data flow can become an issue, especially if an electronic extender is not used. Tributaries offers 3 different solutions for the professional installer to ensure perfect HDMI™ High Speed HD signal transmission every time. ● HX101 Extends an HDMI™ 1080p signal up to 40 meters (131 feet) over HDMI cable. The 2008 Electronic House "Product of the Year Award" Winner, Tributaries® HX101 is the most advanced solution for extending High Speed HDMI™ cable runs up to 40 meters. The HX101 corrects digital errors and automatically provides equalization to compensate for cable transmission loss. It eliminates digital noise (sparkles) to ensure you receive the perfect HDTV picture. In many home theater installations, the HDMI™ cable will need to be run through conduit into walls, attics, basements, etc. The requirement of a UL® approved cable becomes an issue as does the ability to maintain its electronic specifications after being pulled and bent during installation. For long HDMI™ cable runs, the cost of the cable, conduit, extender and the labor can easily increase the cost of the installation to well over $1000. Since most installers now wire homes with multiple runs of inexpensive and easy to install CAT5E, the HXC5 becomes a “no-brainer” solution.
