RoHS compliant, IP67 (IP68 on request) exceeds performance expections typical in harsh environmental applications found throughout Rail and Industrial markets. Adam E. Moreira OCTOBYTE™ contacts are vibration resistant and available to work with ETHERNET cables from CAT 5 to CAT 7A, MVB-WTB, RG58 Coax. Masakazu Matsumoto Commuter Applications Passenger Information Systems ITH connectors with OCTOBYTE™ contacts are easy and fast to assemble, making them best solution for harsh environment applications where signal reliability is a must: • Commuter Rail • Passenger Information Systems (Audio/Video/Digital displays) • Monitoring and Control (Braking/Doors/Lighting/Data) • Heavy Industry • Data Control • Safety Systems Tested according to: ISO F0 STP: CAT 7A EN50173-1 F600-STP: CAT 7 EN50173-1 D STP: CAT 5E Tested for compliance according to EN50173-1 standards set for CAT5E and CAT7. Testing was conducted using 12 jumpers, each 7.5 mt. in length for a total of 90 mt. Push the contact through the rear grommet until the contact locks into place. This can usually be done by hand without the need for a tool.Contact If the Gender wire gage is #26 030 = Rear Panel Mountingor Receptacle N0 = Without Backshell smaller, a tool is helpful. There are two techniques P = Male 06 = Straight Plug Please consul the factory Female for installing contacts with Sa =tool. One method is to push the contact in by hand, then use the tool to finish the insertion. The other method is to position the contact ITH 030the insertion A 5Ctip against 32-Q4 S shoulder, B0 N0 F6 then insert the contact. Use insertion/extraction tool 809-088 to install contacts. Slide the wire into Plating Insert Arrangements: See below. the groove on the blue end of theF6tool. The white end is used for contact extraction. First, push 18-OB the wire into the groove of the metal tip. Slide the 1tipOCTOBYTE of the tool into the connector. Push the tool into the connector cavity until the tip bottoms in the connector. Avoid wiggling or rocking the tip. This may damage the cavity. A straight push is best. Pinch the wire between your finger and the white plastic grip and slide the tool and contact out of the connector. Wire insulation diameter greater than 0.045 inches 32-Q4 (1.14mm) is too large to work properly with the 4 OCTOBYTE extraction tool. connector damage is possible.
